i downloaded this - was looking forward to it but its crap. unplayable, crappy controls and graphics. ugh.

roll on modern warfare 2 - maybe less 'realistic' but 100x more fun.

have thrown the d/l for this in the bin. dont ever want it on my 360 again, awful game.

I first got this for the X360 because it was out earlier.
Did play a bit, but wasn't that impressed, I found it especially hard to hit enemies.
I then downloaded the PC version and it's much better. I don't have a High-End PC, but it runs really good and plays MUCH better than the console version. Aiming is smooth and controls are better.
Of course I'd like to play on my HDTV, but this game needs to be played with keyboard/mouse IMO.

What am I supposed to do on the 4th mission ?. It keeps saying I've failed the mission after the tanks come from behind the hill. This is literally about 5 mins into the level Confused

Edit: I done it, I think I was taking too long and letting the tanks get too close to the convoy.

gotta admit, I too was pretty disappointed with this game, its not for the difficulty, its just the flow of the game, feels really awkward and unpolished .... AI it good at times and a total joke others, the jeep I drove on the first mission was something I couldnt stop laughing about, hopefully it was COOP lag but it just felt hilariously bad to drive.

GFX are okay but nothing outstanding, just found it a bit of a let down, but for sure will play more tonight coop and see if it gets more interesting Smile

How the hell do you control the rest of your team?

Was playing 1v1 against a friend last night, and the game gives you like 10 guys in 3-4 squads, and about 3-4 vehicles but I can never tell the other squads anything.

What an annoying game sometimes. ;p

I'm determined to like it though!

So yah, how the fuck do you tell anyone else anything other than your own squad? The teammates are too retarded to get into the extra vehicles if you give a FOLLOW ME command.

Yeah in real life the enemy always see's you first except your own squad mates who know exactly where to shoot. Confused

AFAIK you can't control them. You're a fireteam leader, so therefor you get control of one fireteam.

jesus... finally finished up with this game. i'm pretty disappointed, so many bugs and glitches. and the AI is sooo horrible Sad
the games was fun though, but all those weird bugs and AI problems kinda ruined the experience.

Played two maps of 4 person coop tonight with a few friends, was some of the most fun I've had on the xbox as far as multiplayer goes. Just not having to deal with the AI ups the experience tenfold.

From what I've gathered so far the game is sort of what both ARMA and OPF has always been like: unfinished, buggy, unforgiving, engrossing, enormous and it has that weird tantalyzing quality that draws you back even though you hate its shortcomings.

Had a funny moment with the whole "tether system" (you can't stray too far from your FT lead), we did not know it existed and we were going to take out the tank in the first mission but lacked any AT hardware. So me (medic) and the support gunner stay and slowly scout the target while the team lead and rifleman head back in a jeep to get some ammo and a javelin. Then all of a sudden BAM both me and the support gunner insta-die. Quite confusing but sort of funny.

All in all I don't see myself playing this solo again at all, however I wouldn't be surprised if I logged 50-60 hours doing some coop stuff and that's a fairly good review for a game really.

Mission 7 (I think).

I´m asked to randevous with team mates at extraction point, which I do. The gunship comes. When we jump into the copter there is shots fired upon us and we just sit there getting shot at. Going out taking out some enemies, jumping back, but the damn gunship refuses to take off!?!? Why?

The only thing I can see is that one team mate is dead and therefor the gunship only counts 3 of us and refuses to take off. A bug then.

I encounterd the same bug. Had to redo the misson.

Hah! Finnished level 6 yesterday. Spoilers ahead I guess, if you don´t want to know level gameplay/missions.

Had to replay first part a couple of times. When standing in hut waiting for friends to diverge some atention I noticed I had already failed that second objective. Replay.

2nd time the vihecle with friends drove downwards and started spinning 360 degrees. Looked funny, but wasn´t. Replay.

Finally got the intervention from friends, but had team mates starting shooting raising the alarm. Replay.

Made my team stay at hut, took out two enemies, planted explosives, made a run for it. Told team members to follow. One didn´t and he died. And knowing that the gunship probably wouldn´t take off if I didn´t have all members of my unit with, I had to replay.

This time the whole team is with and we sneak thru forest and behold the gunship actually lifts to the sky!

Mission passed.

Ffs, I´m not playing this game on anything harder than normal. The bugs in the game would have me throw the controller thru the roof.

Well, it´s not fleshed out missions as in the campaign.

Like coastal stronghold one is just the tip of the island from first mission in campaign. Take them all out kind of thing.

Not complaining though. Just saying.
