I need to moan and in parts its purely unjustified moaning.

I work away from home lots, normally in a completely different country. Normally I don't mind this as its only the odd week here and there.

However, my next trip I'm away for 5 weeks in 5 different countries. Bits obviously will be fun but ultimately, its still work and away from home means its silly long hours at the circuits and delays at airports.

My complaint is that there's too many good games coming out while I'm away. So far I'm missing COD:Modern Warfare 2, Assassins Creed 2, Forza 3, Brutal Legend and Borderlands. There's no doubt more that I've missed.

With such a drought over the summer, I've picked the worst time of the year gaming wise to go away Sad.

Sorry, just wanted to vent.

Its fun at first but slowly grates on you.

The pluses and minuses
+ You get to see some of the world (time permitting. I generally never see anywhere I go as I get stuck at a race circuit the whole time)
+ its a change in scenery from the office

- you live out of a suitcase
- you miss friends and family/ gets in the way of normal life.
- you're constantly surrounded with the people you work with (ie. during work and during social)
- food. Depending on the country depends on the state of the food. China = very bad, Argentina = average, Spain = Good (Food quality this is, not selection)
- Hanging around airports becomes hugely tedious.

Technically, I'm probably in the wrong job but after this lot I'm not travelling til March at the earliest. I'm sticking a holiday in the middle of this lot as well as it doesn't make too much sense to fly 13 hours just to fly back again in 5 days time.

I work for a company that does timing and TV graphics for motorsport.
I'm a programmer there so at present I'm writing a new timing system for stuff like the WTCC.

Its all pretty interesting stuff, just the travelling sucks.
