Indians, meh. Why would I want to play as ass backwards savages with technology a notch above cavemen? Is there any way to restore the original menu background? Old one was much cooler.

Many of the file hosting sites scan archives now, easy way around it is to quick rar (using store compression for example then rar that archive. Of course using a name it cant pick up easy.

That being said RS still blows Smile

Using a random name + rar pass = victory

Use the password option that makes it so the filenames inside the archive can't be seen without the pass. Then it's fool-proof

Steam News announces a new patch is now available automatically for Empire: Total War, Creative Assembly's real-time strategy sequel. The update lists one change, which is: "Fixed issue with some artillery shot types."

http://store.steampowered.com/news/2914/

hotfix already, lol. It's like they fucking do it on purpose

They've really gotten on my fucking nerves with their constant shit and patch breaking things. Just because they can roll out patches easily through steam doesn't mean they should release all kinds of buggy SHIT.

Like that patch to fix an audio problem which made the game unplayable on thousands of PCs, so then they released a new patch for that the next day. DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE !

From Empire_Total_War_v1.5_Update_8-RazorDOX's nfo:

" Requirements:

So for people with installations that are not connected to the web or who have the PROPHET release, the recent SKIDROW-repack for 1.4 is still the most recent update available, right? Or did anyone pack/encounter a manual update like Damador's in the past?

The update is out on USENET, for those interested... Don't think it's worth it though as there is already another almost 600 meg patch out for fixing artillery shots? WTF!?!? I havn't even bothered to patch it yet, as another fucking 600 megs is needed, ROFL

Hey damador.,
you think you can perhaps get the last update up? The 'Hotfix' Thanks buddy

Yes that is the latest update 1.4 skidrow repack.. Damador's easy share 1.4 didn't have all the content in it, so it wouldn't launch. I mentioned there is the 1.5 update on usenet and other places, but right after they patched it, they released another almost 600 meg patch to fix artillery shots? Crazy shit huh... So either grab skidrow's or razors 1.5 and have fucked up artillery shots? WTF Or, wait for a hot fix that Damador. may upload for us

Empire_Total_War_v1.5_Update_8_Hotfix_Proper-RazorDOX

looks like SKIDROW's release sucked:

Quote:
Proper Reason:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-Both updates of Skidrow are missing important files for the Grand Campaign,
without them the game is crashing in campaign mode.
-Skidrow updates arent compatible with any prior Razor updates or
Razor's DVD release. (Sound bug,old lua scripts and etc.)
I'm getting an install error with Empire_Total_War_v1.5_Update_8-RazorDOX. Seems liek it can't find the path to my game, and the installation fails. Anyone have this problem?
EDIT: Nvm, seems to be something to do with using the skidrow version, now I'm using only the razor1911 cracked exe's before running the patch and it works fine.
How do you install mods and/or use modmanager with this version? I'm getting a CTD right after I start up the game after installing battlefield smoke mod with darthmod and custom soundpack. Seems to be CTD'ing without using MM as well now.
