from a glance at that preview it seems like escaping the traps are based on quicktime events :/

don't be so quick to bash them. I really thought the ones in Fahrenheit where well placed, and fit well. There is definitely a time and a place for QTE's, I'm really looking forward to Heavy Rain, another one that looks like it uses them effectively.

Meh, ill play it, its a change of pace for horror games. Usually we just go around blasting zombies, now we can solve puzzles...

Yeah it's great, but this is a thread about SAW.
I'm a huge fan of Saw movies (I know that everyone started hating them after the first movie, whatever), really want to play this game. Some of gameplay videos had great death animations

A NTSC p2p copy of this is currently been up'd to a site i visit (xbox360iso). But its been upped to Megaupload :rolleyes:
Its region locked to NTSC U and Jap me thinks.

not to bash the game or anyting but that start was really lame, that's all he had to do to get the face mask off? If it were by the movie he'd have had to cut someones intestines to get a key while the guy was still alive or something

Didn't much care much for the film , and will reserve judgment on the game. But didn't the video show a segment were the player had to retrieve a key from various cadavers? I would assume the twist is that one or more may be srill alive.

I don't like the films much. I don't like torture horror/porn in general.
Don't get me wrong, I used to work in a hospital mortury and I've seen more than my fair share of dismemberment. Trust me once you've witnessed real gore first hand it's pretty mundane, it's just the thought of another person other than you suffering real pain and permanent injury that can seem appealing. I guess it's the sense of comfort that it's not happening to you.
I just find the whole idea of people being tortured for no other reason than pure entertainment, rather sad and lonely.
I mean imagine some crazed guy comming round your house, locking you up with your brother/sister, son/daughter, and making you watch whle they cut their nipples off and stiched them over there eyes. Yeah yeah I know, it's got puzzles and art house bad guy, blah blah...
Yep not so fun, and I guess the fact is now a video game just raises a right moral hornets nest ;(
Oh well maybe I'm just getting old, and violent torture for entertainment becoming fashionable and mainstream is a good thing, and isn't our society not getting fucked up, and Sigmund Freud was wrong after all.
