Yeah, the little huts they make is very annoying, I even put 0 rent on some of the buildings and they still leave there (the buildings are close to where they work, yes Wink).

Do you have an immigration office? Try setting in to "Open Doors".

Everything done. 836 people with homes and enough food. Immigration office is set to "open doors". Satisfaction is at 68%! I have no idea what to do boys. Like I said, it´s the third game and every time I have the same problem. Like I´ve read in the official forum, there are many people with that problem. The immigration is by 15 - 20 heads per ship and if your population (without tourists) exceeds 800 people every movement to my isle stops immediatly. So is there anybody else with that problem?

Perhaps there is a hard-coded limit in the engine? Because the engine follows them all, perhaps it can't handle more...

When I started up the game today, I got the serial number prompt again. Putting in the serial number with the release doesn't seem to work. Maybe they blocked it? Or does it still work for people here?

Same here... can't even quit it anymore without using Task Manager. >_< What firewall do you guys suggest? I used to have Sunbelt Personal Firewall (fka Kerio), but for some reason it no longer likes me, and the normal Windows firewall doesn't seem to block it...

I didn't block it, used the key included with the download, got the patch instantly. Maybe once they saw just how many people used said key, the disabled it. Although AFAIK, there is no DRM of any kind besides the online account for leaderboards and such, but no activation of any kind.

Happened to me aswell... Then I simply unplugged my internet cable and was able to start the game without any problems... I hope it will always work.

Working fine here, I just have my "windows 7 firewall control" (that's the name of the proggy, unlimited trial with some nags) Very lightweight firewall, works awesome.

And the Sunbelt firewall is just fine for XP, I was using it for a long time, make sure you delete any rules for the game, so it picks it up the next time and you can block it.

Lol @ unplugging cables Laughing

Hadn't run it for a few days prior to today and surprise surprise, it didn't work for me either, just blocked all internet access for Tropico3.exe and it works again.

The XP firewall was shit, so I never sued it.

Does the windows 7 firewall notify on the fly about any incoming and outgoing connections ?

Can I set it to "enable all" or "disable all" or "normal" with 2 clicks ?

Can I easily set programs to connect only to LAN or only to "web browser" zone ? Can I set one-time rule for the current runnning process only ?

Can any application set its own exception automatically ? (admin account, UAC disabled)

Yes? Confused

Not sure about the current process though.
Applications can't set automatically, wtf!? Laughing What is the firewall good for in this case?

It doesn't work anymore because I get a firewall prompt with every game I run...

Or maybe I blocked it with a GPO, don't remember. But having two firewalls is major lol. Almost to the level of cable unplugging.

So you more noob for trying to show how bad 7 firewall is but end up using the same firewall with new noobfriendly UI. Laughing

(In all seriousness, they actually charge moneys for that "windows 7 firewall control"? Jeez, if someone pays for this...)

My previous questions weren't sarcastic, I've never actually used the windows firewall. I wasn't trying to show that it's bad.

I was using ESET, then got rid of it because I didn't need the antivirus, was using Sunbelt Firewall, which was better, but doesn't work on win7 and 64-bit, so I had to use this, because it's the lightest solution.

Oh, so my bad. Yeah, the Vista & 7 firewall is leaps and bounds above the XP SP2 one (SP1 was a joke).

I never liked the XP firewall, it was way too simplistic and feature-less. But with Vista they really made it feature-complete and finally no external bullshit was needed to slow the PC. It's integrated into the system, so it is much faster.
