It can be forced on NVIDIA cards via nHancer (Stalker compatibility profile.) but textures might show black spots or corruption (Or what it's called, display artifacts.)
EDIT: Deferred rendering or what it's name is so UT3.exe might work for ATI cards.

The dude at the monastery wont teach me.
Neither the dude at the swamp cause I'm with the inquisition.
That leaves the dude at the town however I am unablle to complete his quest.
I can only find one worker for him. Cant find the other one.

Might have been posted already in the previous 50 pages but if the game won't start for you in Windows7 (64 bit for me), right click on the game's exe, click properties, and then the compatibility tab. Click the box to disable desktop composition. It'll disable aero any time you start the game but at least it runs. Starts/plays fine with DTlite for me.

im forcing it in nHancer via the Vanguard compatiblity. And no graphical glitches so far.

check this ...what an asshole lol http://www.realgamer.net/xbox360/reviews/Risen.html
The thing that annoys me most about Risen is the brazen way it steals ideas from so many better sources and pretends that they are in some way original. After half an hour an experienced RPG-er will likely be suffering from severe gamer deja-vu: chests are hidden and opened exactly as they are in Fable, the item collection and filing is practically the same as in Monster Hunter, dialogue and character interactions are a very poor copy of the system used by Bethesda, the setting has been done a hundred times before and the whole thing ends up feeling like a collection of leftovers. With the performance issues, there is practically nothing to keep you playing beyond an urge to find out how much worse things can get.

Feels so nerdgasmic when the console kiddies get a shitty port of an awesome PC game, and not the other way around. Haha. I didn't even had to read more from the review than what lolozaur wrote, it's clear the reviewer is some console fanboi and probably doesn't even know what a truly old-school RPG should be like.

It has it's flaws of course, that said most of what I've noticed seems to be taken primarily from other Gothic games.
Creature design are very similar to the first two games, Sea Vulture instead of Scavenger, Spiked Rat instead of Molerat and then wolves and boars (Boars being Gothic 3 I think, don't remember any in the previous two games.)
Dialogs are very similar to Gothic 3 albeit refined a bit though they still gesture quite a bit during conversation. (They also goof around and joke a lot, bit less than Gothic 3 which is nice as some dialogs there were quite silly.)
Inventory system as well is similar to Gothic 3 with different sorting and tabs though in turn G3's system was mainly a improvement over the previous titles and shares most of the functionality while being easier to browse and manage.
Item placement and hidden stuff has been in all Gothic titles albeit a bit less obvious in the early game, G3 placed several hints near places worth exploring and Risen still does some of this but not as obviously (Caves with decent loot and a strong "guardian" is no longer marked by a ton of debri and blood smears, hehe.)
Digging graves and such is from Gothic 3 as well but again a bit subtler instead of the X shaped bone marker to every place you could dig, skills such as mining ore, alchemy, magic and hunting are from all Gothic titles but easified (Simplified?) a bit with less skills for what you need to hunt (Risen has different purchasable items instead.) and you no longer need to manually perform the tasks. (Aside from lock picking which is improved from the automatic G3 system yet still not as frustrating as the guesswork lockpicking in G1 and G2.)
I'd say Piranha Bytes definitively looked on other titles (Oblivion for example.) but they based a lot on their past work and experience yet made it a bit more accessible and user friendly but thankfully didn't dumb down the game.
(Once you get the hang of the various mechanics, combat especially, and get some decent equipment you do go trough enemies quite fast though, not that many different types either but they're well balanced and behave uniquely from one another.)
EDIT: Oh and while it is Gothic the game is still very stereotypical and macho and male dominant, females are all curvy and pretty (Well no, some are downright ugly actually, like the picture I posted previously.) it's a improvement over the entirely male Gothic 1 and Gothic 3 but it could perhaps be balanced a bit better still, just a minor thing though.
(Gothic 3 did OK compared to the all sex-slave population of females in G1 but not by much, haha.)

You can also do a double-tap dodge move to get past it.

I know you already said the avenged version with a miniimage works great, but I still like to wait for proper crack, and usually games like this I just get bored and waiting, download the clone anyway, and just when I reach 100% I see a cracked release coming out. Do you think it's due soon or it will takes a while?

don't think it's a bug, more like secondary drm checks. had them with the avenged release and mini image, but all suddenly gone on the legit version (and in exchange, the game crashed in the monastery once).

Another reason why I wonder if I wait for a proper crack or not
