A lot of true points in the review by Eurogamer, even if Epsilon declares the writer (and editor for allowing the review to see the light of day) enemies of humanity. The game is nowhere near perfect like the few fanboys here seem to make it sound like.

He didn't even play to chapter 2 where you get fast travel so I wouldn't trust a a lot of things in that review even if he gave it a higher score.

Well it's on the internet so it must be true.

Click the quest you have in your log-book, the move the mouse to the right and click "quest map" That shows live statistics on where your quest givers, and destinations, are.
As for their being a quest compass? I'm glad we don't have it! Oblivion and FO3 are fantastic, but they really DO hold you by the hand - and that makes us dumber for it. I love the sense of exploration AND accomplishment you get when you find something yourself.

Someone help me with this quest please
Spoiler: | How do I get Enrico back to work in the bandit camp? He says he needs "protection" from the spirits. Tried giving him a scroll of protection, didn't work. |

Indeed.
But in all seriousness, game is good, but not excellent in my opinion (and in the opinion of the reviewer ). You guys enjoy it a lot more? Bon appetit!

Spoiler: |
Look around the camp, you should eventually come across a cheap necklace/amulet, the description would say "even a child wouldn't wear this"
You can offer that to the guy as a "Mage-made protective amulet against spirits"
If you found it already and sold it, go back and talk to the traders. They always keep the items you sold to them.

completed game now, some things regarding the ending and the game in all
Spoiler: | end fight was pretty meh, was hoping I could run around after I beat the boss too. The later half of the game was worse then the first chapters imo. Felt like I had to kill 2 million lizard people, the most fun part was the bandit camp and harbor town for sure. |

Can you add the teleporter stones with the console? If they DO exist for every important location, they're too damn well hidden.

Yeah, the game gets quite boring after chapter one. The final fight is extremely dissapointing and so is the cutscene.
I want 10 hours of my life back.

Apparently you don't start getting them until Chapter 2, but Epsilon has a map and location of the teleport stones (if you can read German >_<)

Hey in case anyone is interested I did discover what was causing the problem with the journal entry disappearing. I had re-mapped the combat stance key from middle mouse to shift. Once I put it back the journal and quest information appeared.
I've just entered the harbor city and have a million quests to do. I'm loving this game. Already thinking of playing it over as a warrior of the order or a mage.

This game has terrible magic.
In fact, you only have 3 (yes, THREE) "real" spells, the rest of them are on scrolls.
The ones you get are fireball, magic missiles and iceball.
I really am disappointed about the magic aspect in this game, especially since it takes SO FUCKING LONG to get into the Monastery normally (ie w/o being caught but by actually volunteering).
Gonna replay as a thief/rogue, but damn, magic really is pathetic here.

Bullshit, there are about 15 spells. It's just divided to crystals and seals(not talking about scrolls).
l2p, kthxbbq.
And there isn't realy any choice in what You play. The game eventualy forces You to go melee and there is nothing You can do about it.

I need some help with this:
Spoiler: | I got into the temple with the inquisitor (start of chapter 3), and I can't find a way to open that big gate. I'm supposed to search north, but there's nothing there. |
Thanks.

The latter half of the game is indeed, much worse then the beginning. Too much dungeon crawling, too much fighting, too little quests and, honestly, it could be a bit bigger too.
Mages are completely meh too, all you get for your hard work is one nuke (can't afford xp to raise more then one), one other offensive spell (on 4th seal, and it's the only one spell there it seems - bleh), one summon, few buffs you rarely use and a bunch of utlity spells you can just as well cast from the ever-present scrolls, or, in some cases, not use at all. All this coupled with an endless mana-shortage (countered with pots, but still, it's tedious). Very dissapointing. 3/4 of the game through, i really wished i had chosen a different path.
The ending was so-so, some parts were a bit dissapointing too.
Overall though it's a good game, but not the second coming of Christ, as some people create it to be. Just a good, polished experience, with a good technical side, fun characters who really come alive with great voice-acting and a really vivid world. And a good , challanging yet complicated combat system. Best of all gothics, in this regard.

Spoiler: | You need to transform into the worm and look for a hole up there, in the north end, and levitate in the south end. |
Sorry for double-posting, could have edited :S

Map of stones. It's in german, but it should not be a problem

A game doesn't have to be the second coming of christ to be good, if you're expecting that from a computer game then your expectations are obviously without grounds in reality.
