Recently heard about this show, it has 9/10 on imdb, is it good, somehow the plot on imdb doesn't seem that good.
Would you recommend it?
Also, it seems Mad Men won an emmy as best drama series, somehow a series about advertising in the sixties does not even captivates me to watch it.
Between Mad Men and Breaking Bad, what would you recommend?

ive only seen breaking bad and its kewl. Some decisions of the characters are a bit stupid but id give it a 8.5/10

For me, Mad Men was a snorefest.
Breaking Bad is a refreshing and well-written drama (with some clever humor in-between), very much recommend.

Breaking Bad is pretty cool.
Imo defenitly more watch-worthy than Mad Men.
I couldn't stand the characters in Mad Men and the way they act.
Like they're whole behavior is just... dunno.

First season of Breaking bad is very good. Radical thinking, great script, good actors.
Then it starts deteriorating from there, and now I'm not even interested in another season.
I also think fisk should be unbanned.

I know what you mean tho... thats why its so much easier to make a good movie, than a good TV series. At least if its more than 3 seasons. There aren't many drama/thriller series that keeps the same excitement season after season. Prison Break sure didn't  |
Sure it did, after season 2 I was always excited how worse the next episode could be, and guess what, no matter how great my expectations for a bad episode were, the episode mediocracy always surprised me, week after week, they've really raised the bar on how a great tv series could become utter shit! 
On the other hand, and I know many people disagree with me on this one, I believe Lost (despite some bad episodes along the way) still holds the essence of that first season, specially after season 5 finale, and I can't deny my excitement and anticipation to watch season 6 and finally know what actually the series is all about, plus, some really great melodramatic scenes and topics on Lost that are not often matched by any other show I've seen.

YES.... Breaking Bad is amazing... imho Breaking Bad is one of the best shows in production along with LOST. I also agree with the above poster, the S5 finale of LOST was some epic stuff. S6 is going to rock.

Concerning Breaking Bad, let's just say I just finished watching Season 1 plus three episodes from Season 2, this show has hocked me up, superb writing and acting, really wasn't expecting something this good!

Watch both.
Mad Men really picks up late in the first season, but it's worth it.
I took a pause on watching Breaking Bad for a while - I was up to S02E08... Nothing really compelled me to watch it further.
