Setup.exe might be localized and not initiate correctly (Known issue, mentioned a few times.), open the folder and then that large data file with winrar (Or similar.) and extract it directly.
For FSGame.ltxt you might need to alter it like this.
$app_data_root$ = true | false | C:\Games\Pripyat\
It'll point to the install directory instead of relying on the registry information, doesn't seem to be needed for some though, one can also start the game via Stalker-CoP.exe instead of \Bin\XREngine.exe
I use a bat file myself and it has worked just fine with the above FSGame.ltx alteration, looks like this and placed in the game folder.
start bin\xrEngine -smap4096 -sjitter -mblur -silent_error_mode
(You can ignore the -Command stuff added.)
As for unpacking open that large data with a program like Winrar or similar and extract it to say C:\Games\Pripyat and then try to start the game, if the above is needed then do those alterations and try again.
Oh and the game is stand-alone and should not require Clear Sky or Shadow of Chernobyl.

ehh , but i cant install game... i mean i run setup exe, then next next but only FramEWORK NET is installing . Game not . Folder of a game only make after installation . NO files to work ... so what i doing bad?
If you are using the repack version just open data.plb with winrar, and extract it to where you want. ( mentioned earlier in thread ).
DAmn , i repack datal.lb then i download a crack . TRIVIUM from Gamecopyworld.

lol suddenly more people are playing this release i wonder why Delete the stalker folder from my documents and i think it will fix your problem with the crashing thing.
The terrain and environment isn't as detailed but the overall size is much larger, still I think it looks quite good though I've pretty much set everything as high as possible.
I also use the -smap4096 command to increase shadow resolution and the -sjitter command to enable a form of shadow jittering effect.

Main difference is that I re-enabled all extra stuff like DX 10.1 and MSAA plus various sun and shadow related settings and whatnot, looks great in my opinion although as above the landscape is a bit barren and low detailed so far.
EDIT: Clone works fine but after testing both cracked EXE files caused crashes.

Strange, my saves games are also stored there. I had the same problem with the crashing and after removing that folder it's gone. I mean you could start the game and normally a folder is created there with user.ltx as well.

What's your video card then?
(It'll use a lot of texture memory so what you mentioned could be a sort of "trashing" where data is sent to the pagefile instead of video memory.)
The "setup.exe" file in that version you have is corrupt same as mine.You will know it's corrupt because it will have a heap of "???????" in it.
I managed to get the "uncorrupt" setup.exe from a partial Dl of the larger version, (well over 4gb) and placed it in the image i have with ultra-iso.Where can you get it you may ask?, well use your imagination as I did.
Then after installing CS, I then installed COP as normal in XP32,64, Vista32,64 and WIn7 32&64 without a problem. This game as far as the Ru version goes is not designed to be a stand alone and it ain't no Beta imo. The install directory size is 4.49gb, 99 files & 10 folders, therefore a comparison between this version I'm testing and the repack would be worth comparing. The "bear" trans mod makes it better for understanding but it's not perfect but appreciated all the same. The game looks and runs great even on a 7900GTX & 8800GTX but looks the best on the Ati 4890 with DX10 advanced setting imo. It also seems to work the best on the on Win7 as far as I have experienced.
I will be purchasing this version as I have all the others in the series as soon as it becomes available here in OZ. Games like this imo deserve monetary support.
