Yes that's right TwoBells, edit the subtitle value from Russian to the language you want to use, it'll still have localized audio as that's from the Voice_*.pak file (In this case Voice_Russian.pak) but all text is fully translated and nearly everything is subtitled anyway so it's a very small problem. (It's not really a problem at all as compared to Divinity 2 which was moved to November or even December the release date of Risen is set to be this Thursday or so.)

JB (or anyone), do you know whether it has static item placements, or something similar to G3 where there were unique chests (and no matter which ones you opened first, the items always came in the same order).
After the CP which fixed the performance issues, that had to be one of the main annoyances in G3; very much preferred the way in earlier Gothics where you could gain access to some very good loot if you got lucky.

The chests I've found so far have all had fixed items in them but it's very early into the game so all in all I've checked like three chests or so.
They all seem pretty similar to me but I suppose better looking chests and especially more difficult locked chests would contain better loot, although if said loot is fixed or randomized I'm a bit uncertain about.
(I guess it might be mixed, random gold and minor stuff like misc items with larger stuff being pre-placed such as equipment and more valuable items.)

Of course in G3 there were normal chests as well, but if you come across anything out of the ordinary, like a chest that looks different or has a different name (treasure chest was one class of unique chest in G3 iirc), you could always save before opening and see if it's the same content twice.

Could be, though initially all chests in Gothic 3 had the same name didn't they plus a bugged darker chest without a name (Now called Heavy chest I believe.) but the community patched (Early version.) added different names to define the type of content they would have.
I'll keep a look out should I find a different looking or named chest, should be easy to safe and then load said game to determine how the items are generated.
(Or if they're generatet at all or handplaced.)
EDIT: Yes that's correct, this is apparently the full EU version StringTable.pak file from the retail version, Audio pak file would be needed for the voice overs but it'll be around 1 GB in size based on the Russian file.
EDIT: Yeah waiting for a real proper release or the games release date isn't a problem in this case as there's so little time until it's released.

It's already sold by some stores already. There's probably no one to rip it properly.

It's Andy Serkis (Gollum) who voiced the inquisitor and John Rhys Davies (Gimli) voiced Don Esteban.
And Michael Higgs (Andy/Eastenders) voiced Sam.
Theres a bunch of other professional actors, like Lena Headey (Sarah Connor Chronicles), voicing the english version, I'd definitely suggest waiting to play that.

I would recommend using Virtual CD 9:
Mount image in daemon tools
Install Virtual CD v9.3 with advanced settings
Check "Permit indirect mounting of virtual CDs in the physical drive" in the device settings
Create a virtual image off the daemon tools drive with automatic copy settings (might take a long while)
Mount the image into your physical drive in virtual CD
Unmount daemon tools, disable drives, exit daemon tools
Run the game
Usually that'll get anything going.......

I wouldn't go as far as that, but I would definitely say this will be better than Oblivion and Fallout 3
I have been saying this would be my favorite for GOTY 2009 and I still believe that.

Audio was brilliant in all gothic titles, the soundtrack was a masterpiece. i expect that for Risen as well. I hope they dont kill immersion by a bad translation into english, like what happened to The Witcher, although i will play the german original. With all the shit PB had with JoWood i really would be glad to see Risen with high 80´s reviews at metacritics. These dudes simply deserve it.
