Anyone around with more experience of the campaign game? I've played around 20 matches now, and won 4 cups. I have experience from the boardgame, and my team has gotten very strong, to a point where opposing teams usually get 1M+ to buy extra star players and such for, while my own winnings mostly disappear due to the spiralling expenses feature.

It was a lot of fun in the beginning, but seems to have gone a little stale. Do the cups ever develop any more, and do other teams get better and start getting high team values? Every cup I've played has been mostly the same, with a few randomized teams, and even great teams from Blood Bowl "history" like the Reikland Reavers etc have been pretty tame. Seems to me like the campaign game could benefit from some more structure and throwing a few curve balls at you rather than following the same randomized concept ad infinitum.

The AI is pretty poor, if you want to extend the life of this game you need to take it online! There are player-run leagues and a decently active player base that will definitely keep you entertained for a while.

yeah you can never expect AI to follow up a real player. At some point, you know the AI in and out and it isnt worth a dime anymore

The 1.0.1.8 patch is out.
I wonder how long we will have to wait until someone cracks it...I'm afraid the game isn't popular enough for scene groups to bother.

But they _care_ about their product and their customers.
The last one fixes only 1 (!) possible (!) crash. How many devs would release a patch or a fix for only one problem that may or not come up?
I think Cyanide are doing a great job and they did a great job at initially putting the game into the game (tabletop to PC)
I bought it, haven't yet had the time to really play it but it was worth it already.

quite a few caring devs have done so in the past.

people like EA can have forum posts about a crash thats 200+ pages long with people that have the same problem and they never fix it though.
Rolling Eyes (happened for cnc tiberion wars or whatever it wqas called , i think the thread was 600 pages long in the end)

I wasn't saying they are the only ones but you gotta admit that nowadays those kinda devs only account for a small number.

I still get that glitch when returning from the options menu, it sometimes gets stuck for about 15 seconds.

Anyone else get that ?

But anyway, this game is really unique !

You can try using the latest cracked EXE file after patching but it probably won't work correctly.

Sooo.. dark elves strats! Running game? Passing game? Assassins?
Myself I started with an assassin but I'm thinking of starting over without one. They're just not that useful. Also planning on playing a very flexible team with good passing abilities, perhaps catch on 2 or more blitzers and one runner as designated thrower. Anyone have other cool ideas?

Guys what mode do you play at? turn based or real time..

The game is sitting on my hdd for some time now, and the new race looks rather cool so i may try the game longer than the 4 matches i had.. Which mode is more.. um, complex and challenging to play at, i suppose turn based ?

Turn based is blood bowl. That blitz-thingy is a gimmick for the game. So yeah.. go with turn based. Smile

Gave real-time a try and instantly went back to turn-based. It felt clumsy and uncomfortable even after only two TB matches behind me.

Wow, some of the changes would be considered enough for some companies to release it as BW2 or something...12 NEW races against the original 8? Very nice.
