Sure signs of a happy marriage to be....
1) Being addicted enough to being online to talk it and posting about it online..
2) Going to the courthouse, and bypassing the wedding gown, the big marriage, because its all about loooooooove. Yeah, sure, all women want that, until 5 years have passed and they wonder, wtf, why didn't you GIVE ME A PROPER WEDDING YA WANKER!?!
(Meanwhile, you wonder about this, "But, that is what we agreed on? WE AGREED ON THIS!!?!?!?" WHY DON'T YOU LOVE ME MORE!!! ALL MY FRIENDS GOT MARRIED AT CHURCH, YOU DON'T LOVE ME ENOUGH, I WILL ONLY GET MARRIED ONCE (or twice, or thrice) IN MY LIFE, WHY WERE YOU SO CHEAP, WAAAH, WAAH, WAAAAAH!! MY GRANDMOTHER WONDERS WHY I DIDN'T LOVE HER ENOUGH TO MAKE A PROPER WEDDING!!.).
3) Wonder wtfwhy your wife all of a sudden flies off to meet some guy "She met online.", because, it too "felt right", just like having "Just a courthouse wedding.".
Sorry, couldn't help myself, hehehe, have 3 friends that went the courthouse style, none are married now, anyway, G'luck mate, remember, the DSL modem has a off-switch, it's what you use when your wife starts nagging on you for being distant..

Surprisingly enough (or not...) we actually met online years ago, and it was her idea for the courthouse rather than church. I'm not very religious anyway, but she wanted a more modern - and cosy - wedding rather than some extravagant affair. Either way, the day was absolutely perfect and I can't conceive of anything that would have made it better
Oh yeah; and she's as big a net addict as I am |
Oh uh, forgot (which is most commonly used as a excuse when you stand outside in the cold and wondering: WTF just happened?)
4) It was her idea.
Dude, you are soooo screwed...
Anyway, welcome to the strategic game formerly known as "marriage"!
PS - As Dr. Phil said:
"The courthouse means, "I just ain't sure about you, so, we'll make it cheap just in case, besides, I ain't sure enough about this about this to tell my entire family about it yet, let alone have them all attend.. Anyway, I proposed, you didn't, so, you are my "get out of jail card" until I find my true love and soulmate". Heheheeeee..

Dr. Phil is a fucking idiot, as is anyone else who watches him expecting anything other than comedy.
Grats man!

+1
Fast-food style psychoanalysis FTL. People are far more complex than some pop-psychology can express. Even statistics allows you to make predictions about the behaviour of a group of individuals and not the individual self. On paper, every marriage has a 52% chance of success so you might as well throw a coin and say whether a marriage is going to succeed but people still do get married.
And all the psycho-babble knowledge hasn't helped your dr Phil lose that weight while he's making mega-bucks giving advice to others how to do it.
