Got my 1000/1000 Smile

Not that I care for achievements, but I still had fun playing through the second time.

Really a great game, best one I played in years.

I agree and disagree. Some of them are stupid because they are for on lifers, but others are fun and encourages you to do silly stuff that you might not do over wise (like in DIRT2, spin in a circle 100 times or roll your car 100 times lol) Smile

Using RELOADED release with 1.1 update and running 191 drivers fine but when I install PhysX_9.09.14_SystemSoftware I get this.

Uninstalling newer PhsyX to PhysX_9.08.14_9.09.0814_SystemSoftware, game works fine again :\

Just use the latest ones from official site and you'll be fine http://www.nvidia.com/object/physx_9.09.0814.html

Posted this in the other thread, too.

Eidos confirmed to me, over the phone, it was Sony this whole time. U.S. exclusive deal for PS3

So, it seems that Sony paid to get yet another exclusive DLC like the Joker maps. Nothing shocking here, this has happened before, for example Microsoft paid Rockstar for exclusive Xbox 360 GTA4 DLC.

And then like you peoples were all like, "YOU IS TROLLIN!" and I was like "I AM NOT TROLLING!! I AM guess_who_kthxbai YOU SEE! Mm!"

Sony may payed for it, but you can't blame them (or call them names or whatever). It's , in this case, Eidos who accepted/offered the deal ....

I do not blame anyone at all, I'm just sad that we won't get the maps.

I think if someone finds the answer to this, we could also see other mods, like playable Joker, etc.

Eidos Interactive has announced "Prey in the Darkness Map Pack", a new downloadable map pack for Batman: Arkham Asylum. The pack contains two additional challenge maps and will be available in the UK starting tomorrow as a free download on PSN and Xbox Live.

Update: Edios Admin says: ...this DLC isn't available on PC, and as far as I know there are no plans to release it on PC. It is only available on PS3 in the US but is available for PS3 and 360 in Europe."

Very Happy

http://www.gildor.org/en/projects/umodel#files

Posted before but can be used to view models and extract part of the package files, ofcourse modding UE3 is difficult due to the many package files and how they are handled.

For example you have the different levels with models and textures for different characters and then different challenge maps again with different models and texutres plus different parts of the map using different textures and models so just altering say Poison Ivy would be quite difficult if you want the change to be for the entire game and not jsut one of the chapters that the modified package file is meant for so you'd repeat it all for each pack file that might have such info making the actual work quite tedious. Smile

EDIT: Examples.

(Hair textures were located somewhere else, tons of files to go trough and of course a package utility is needed to actually change something after extracting and modifying it or the game won't be able to access and read it.)

Yeah it's a lot of work, batman himself for example is contained in atleast nine pack files (The entire "\Batman\BmGame\CookedPC\Packages\Characters\" folder.) for variations like suit damage and such stuff, then there's models for Joker and all the rest for challenge maps, their own levels, smaller levels were they appear and the package files for end-game messages and whatnot.
(The folders in the \Batman\BmGame\CookedPC\Maps\ mainly but also used outside of that folder, didn't go trough all files as that would be a lot of work but it's pretty easy to see just by going trough a few of them.)

Guess that's what gamers are these days.

Are you sure you didn't want to post this in console section? It's where you should belong.

I finished the game some days ago.. Very Happy

In the beginning when all the triggers were present i wondered.. what's all the hype about that game.. no way it's so good it's worth all the protection trouble...and totally ignored the game..

and i went to play resident evil.. After that i decided to try out the game...mostly of boredom and damn..!

Good thing i played RE5 first.. because if i played batman first.. RE would seem like a total piece of shit.

I have not played a game like Batman in years... It has incredible atmosphere... graphics.. gameplay... everything.. i love it Very Happy

Especially the atmosphere , it's fantastic, it's so dark and pretty and there are little details in everything in the game Smile

I'm also impressed by the Unreal engine.. i've not seen such a great use of it since bioshock. It's not blurry , it has AA, and it's alt-tab friendly.

I also love to see collectibles in any PC title. I especially love them here, because it's not like your ordinary console game when your search in blind and your only hope to find them is using a FAQ (yes i'm looking at your BSAA crap RE5)

The only gripes i have about this great game is that i hoped to see more of the batman characters & villains, or even figurines of them, instead there are some pretty unknown to me & made up .

Also, the battles are incredibly pretty and seamless, but.. i somehow dislike the combo system and the ease of use.. A battle can be won just by left clicking (at least on normal)

Also some of the gadget seem pretty useless..(homing batarang)

anyway... i love this game, one of the best in years.. Smile

I don't think he was postulating that they were the same games. In fact, not even hinting it.

OK, my friend finished Batman, and after that we played RE5 coop. After we finished RE5 we both agreed it's amazing.

i really enjoy this game, expect it seems to have quite some technical issues (maybe driver related ?) For example (well most important ) is that physix seems to be broken in my game lol (like mentioned earlier, leafs and papers floating (but not moving) a meter above ground etc. Really annoying Sad
