PC Version Of Borderlands Delayed

| Quote: | The 360 and PS3 versions of Gearbox's shooter Borderlands are coming along nicely, and are still expected on October 20. But the PC version, well, it' slipped a little.
Because Gearbox are "optimizing the PC version", a process "which takes a few days longer than expected", the North American release of the PC version of the game will be out on October 26. For those outside North America, this means their version has dropped back to October 30. |

Well you KNOW this is about console sales, I mean cmon you really think they're going to optimise the game get the master sent out the the manufacturers, have the discs produced and then delivered to ALL the retailers all within 6 days, ya riiiight.

This was, as I've always maintained, a day 1 purchase for me -- but to be bluntly honest, now I'm not so sure. "Optimisation" in six days? Including sending off the master to be printed? Bullshit.
I don't like being treated like a second-class citizen, constantly playing catch up with the console nonsense.
You just watch as the release date closes in, I wouldn't be surprised to see another PC-only delay.

Be thankful the delay's not even longer. Even though it's just a week i'm also pissed they came up with such a pathetic excuse. 'We'll be optimizing the game for 4-5 days more' - ffs, what were you doing all that time? Blowing one another?

A few days with 360 version in the shops and no pc version means a lot of sales for the 360.
Microsoft had IBM use similar tactics back when they were selling DOS and competing with CBM/2 OS back in the day. It's the proverbial oldest trick in Microsoft's book of tricks
