No dude you can make the game behave fully legit by converting it to the digital download version, e.g you dont need any disc or cracks. As long as you have a key it should work.

Well i patched from 1.03 to 1.04 then put the files needed in Arma 2 dir for secu activation used a legal key and got his:
Activation process has been terminated. Please make sure the SERIAL has been entered correctly.
Press BACK to attempt another activation, click MANUAL ACTIVATION to activate manually or press CANCEL to abort. In case the problem still persists please contact mailto:support@securom.com.
Internal error message: unlock code was revoked

listen to the guys ffs, if you got legit key, you can drop a few of the D2D files into the main folder and activate it as an online version, then you dont need to fuck about with cracks anymore.. so if you bought just a key thats the best way to get it working..
regarding you soldat37:
no not looking for anything apart from seeing if your really running fully 1.04 updated files.. as i said before if your not using the 1.04 exe, working for you or not (and that does matter of course why wouldnt it) you will not be having all the fixes to the game when playing.. that is all no more no less, wether you can get online or not..
not difficult to comprehend what I was asking the details for is it:?
I will have just have to summize that your not telling the full truth about your "install" because it really doesnt take more than what 3 mins to take some screen grabs and upload them to imageshack..
id say thats pretty much indicating your a lazy little know it all that does not want to contribute here by showing others with problems that you were "truly" able to do what you say..

there was an issue at times for where (locality wise) the key was meant for I think...
the online activation used to have a few uhappy moments using said keys.. i can sudgest using ozcdkeys.com |

beta or not, there was no true 1.04 beta exe..just the main one like being shown. |

I don't get you, maybe i'm completely off.... Activating means you are installing the game as if it was a download, and not using any crack. I'm not sure if you know what files i'm talking about. If you know about activating and don't want to do it - then carry on as usual.

If legit key - you don't need any scene crack. Check out page 39 of this thread.
I got a german key from Onlinekeystore.com - I mod game to English. I do following:
Install with legit key.
Update with version 1.04.
drop the following files (taking from a digital download version) into game dir:
Lang.ini
Logo-paul.bmp
paul.dll
unicows.dll
Start game - it asked to Activate since i dont have legit disc. Activate it and your done. You can even revoke the key if you need to reinstall on other computer.

The exe DID change with patch. You can replace the 1.04 one with the cracked 1.03 one and the game will start, but then you aren't fully running the 1.04 version of the game. it still says you're running 1.03. You cannot join 1.04 servers while running the cracked 1.03 exe.
I'm definitely going to buy this game when I get some cash, but until then I hope a 1.04 crack comes out.

Activation doesnt work for my retail CD key (from 505 games version, english).
I have this message :

It seems your serial cannot be activated on the Securom servers.
Try to make it work normally with the clonedvd or mini image.

Mouse lag can caused by GPU render ahead buffer be limited using GPU_MaxFramesAhead=N in ArmA2.cfg.

render ahead is set by the drivers control, wouldnt be suprised to see more moaning now due to conflicts between driver frame render ahead settings and the game trying to do it as well.. Alot of people have already fiddled without knowing what they doing and have already forgotten about the fact they did that..
EDIT: apparently if your driver level is set to 8 or say 6 or whatever number for render ahead the game will ignore any setting u set for it in cfg and use the driver one. LOL
Then, apparently, if your render ahead frames in driver are set to standard 3, the game will ignore the cfg entry and use the driver level of 3. LOL
ok errr whats the point in having the cfg entry then?

I wanna try Co-op through Himachi, but he keeps on whining about cd key in use, we figured out if we all install again using diff. keys it should work, but i allready found one, when i installed the game, but that was a key that wouldn't let me patch, and it was not a only 0s key...
Is there a way to pass this!?
nevermind, found some, but only useable for 1.0, the updates any higher wont install of bad cdkey, strange that the one by reloaded is still patchable, but not to use by the same in co-op
