so yesterday i was a bit high during the day and was parked in a park and ride for public transportation parking lot which is owned by the city. There were cameras on some poles but Iam not sure if they work or not..
Anyway, as I was backing up, I hit a vehicle (SUV) and I fled the scene. At first, I thought for sure I fucked my bumper but when I pulled over I did not even see a single scratch to it and the other SUV i hit was hit in the passenger door at the front.
I fled the scene and never heard anything from either local authorities or anyone from the city regarding that hit and run and to make things worse my licene is suspended at the moment for failure to pay previous tickets on time.
Is it safe to say that if there were witnesses and cops were called they would have notified me by now since its been 24 hours or no and if this guy calls the cop on his own when he notices later, will they run an investigation for 200-400$ worth of damage or the insurance company won't care and just fix it for him without looking for me?
I live in Ontario, by the way.

There's not much you can do, anyway, I doubt the damage is big enough for someone to actually go after you.
And, mitosisx2, dude, next time be more careful, pay your tickets and shit ... come on, be a man.

If I were you and the cops came round, I would swear down that I never noticed that I hit the car. But that would depend on how you reacted after you did hit it.

holy shit, this didn't even cross my mind... Since i have no damage on my car, i can just pretend i didn't even notice it was hit... That will save my ass if something happens..

If you dent a door or panel on a car, the price to fix is ~$1-2000 USD since the dent has to be fixed, and the whole panel has to be repainted.

I hope you rot in fucking hell... high and no drivers ticket.. what a joke.. and you backed into someone elses vehicle that you didnt even bother to check, or leave a simple note where you could of solved it between yourselves.
No you leave the scene like the guilty fuck that you are, and hope nobody catches it on recorded vid.. If there is damage to the car you hit you can bet if they notice it and can put it to where it happened, then they will probably go ask if anything was viewed at the carpark and to check the camera's.
Learn from this and stop driving when you shouldnt be, and stop getting high behind the wheel of a lethal weapon.. you make my stomach turn..

if i had a good car like your S14 for example i'd go apeshit for even the smallest scratch
fuck , well when i bump/scrape the car on some lamp post or something well i'd be my fault , in this case the poor owner didnt even had a fucking fault only that he parked near a damn newbie. |

Tell that to the parents who've lost their kid thanks to a douche who was high driving a car. News is riddled with drug/drink drivers who've managed to kill someone while under the influence.

No the news is not "riddled" with stories of drivers high on cannabis who kill ppl. Show me one article where the driver had only smoked pot, and I still wouldn't say everyone who takes that same risk deserve to burn in hell for all eternity(!!). In fact I'm pretty god damned sure that any kid is much more likely to drive high in their lifetime than they are to be killed by a high (from cannabis that is) driver, so maybe YOU should tell that to parents of high drivers. Yeah why don't you do that, you call mitosisx2's parents and you explain to them why you think their child should burn in hell.
You're acting like he was blasted out of his mind on alcohol, driving past schools on his weekly drunk driving spree, shooting horse and throwing the HIV infected needles at the kids, while listening to COUNTRY MUSIC ffs.

I hit a car in a parking lot with a 1986 delta 88 when I was 17 .... wasn't high but I pulled away real quick (in my defense that car was like 20 feet long)
most insurance policies have parking lot collision built in. tbh, if I was high and I just did that and was worried I'd get busted for more than just a collision) I'd split too .. criminal record is pretty much a job prospect killer (in n.america at least) so not worth someones feelings.

Thing is, it's not the accident itself that bothers me - some of you might remember when a girl backed into my WRX, a little over a year ago. And while i was pissed off (because I knew I'd have to wait a month or two before I could drive it again), it wasn't all that bad since she stood up for what she did, we solved it very easily with the insurance companies and that was that. Done deal.
But if she would have ran away, there's no fucking way I'd be as civilized as I was when she stayed and solved things the way they should be solved. The word "civilized" wouldn't even be part of it.
And while I think that if I'd done the same thing as the OP, wich I never would since it's so fantastically fucking stupid, I'd probably not tell ANYONE EVER about it. But then again, I WOULDN'T BE SO DAMN STUPID to actually be driving WITHOUT A LICENSE and WHILE HIGH!
He's an idiot and since he told all of us what he did, I feel that I have the right to call him an idiot too.
