sometimes i watch a vcd screener (the wastedtime ones are great!) but most of the time just dvdscr or dvdrip, svcd encoded as i think xvid is a crappy non-standard ghetto codec.

never touch ts, tc or cam tho. waste of time and bandwith.

don't i need some magical illegal thing?

Wasnt JP3 a great TS?

Jesus. That was like 4 years ago. Look at the TS's now. They're great. I don't see how people really complain about them and how they "ruin" the movie. My guess is that they haven't seen a TS in years.

I only watch telesyncs if they're 'good' quality for a telesync ..so basicly I dont watch many of them (Meet the Fockers was borderline but watchable), otherwise I normaly wait for a screener..

p.s. Sublime ,thats a great signature Laughing

you guess wrong... i still check out the samples of almost every movie's TS i'm interested in, but i can't say a single one was "great". The last one i watched through was maVen's Collateral Release and it DID ruin the movie IMO.

I don't know. To me they seem great. DTS sound and great picture quality. I don't see how they ruin a movie. Guess you guys just need everything to be so perfect to enjoy a movie (also I thought the Meet the Fockers TS was great and one of the best out there).

P.S. How does it "ruin" a movie for you? Cause the picture isn't perfect?

About Hitman: Movie (2007)
Vin Diesel is a hardcore gamer, and absolutely loves the Hitman series. For that reason I have faith that he wont destroy the movie.

Response: Well, Uwe Boll probably loved the Alone in the Dark games.

it's not just "not perfect", it's simply bad.
(i tried to pick the exact same frame, as you see i didn't succeed...)
Collateral.DVDRIP.XVID-Deity:

Collateral *SVCD* *REPACK* - TELESYNC - maVen:

please note this is one of the better TS

look at aspects like lighting, colours, sharpness Sad

maybe other people don't give a shit about these things, but to me this lack of quality is inacceptable. that's why i stick to dvdr/dvdrip/dvdscr.
Very Happy

Its pretty damn acceptable if you just wanna watch a movie and then delete it.
Like I do, download a TS/TC watch it, delete it, then get the DVDRip quality.

POT needs a 3ccd camera and theyd have the CAM/TS scene under their belt. miniDV with firewire @ 640x480 res just doesnt cut it. theyre always the first kids on the block with releases and i aplaude them for that. Centropy and VideoCD use 3ccd cams and the quality is pretty damn good after resampling/transcoding. theres always room for improvement though.

Ive run some TS movies through adobe premiere and gave them better color and contrast which made them far more watchable. i think all release groups should incorporate this practice into their releases. it adds some hours before the release can be put out but its worth it. who am i to say what they should do though?

screen slants and angular stretching can be fixed with about 2 hours of work per movie, but who wants to focus on quality when you can be the cool dudes who get the movie out there first? some release groups need to learn what a video filter is and use them. their releases would benefit greatly from learning the dark ways of video restoration. Wink

If you're a release group member and you're reading this, PM me and id be more than glad to help you improve your release quality. Very Happy

I dont usually bother with cams/telsyncs because of the quality.
National Treasure was one exception, this was superb quality.

Hey, I watch dvdrip, dvdscr or telecine, I dont see why most ppl dont watch telecines as they are great quality, sumtimes jus as good as the retail will be anyway. Take the national treasure telecine, great quality, the only downfall is that they can sometimes be a very little bit dark.

Telecines are awesome usually
