Hmmm, played the last couple of days and I really like it. I hardly play MMO's but I think I could sink my teeth into this game, so I've decided to stop playing until the game releases (no point playing a character only to lose all the time spent on it). However I picked Asmodian and am definitely a fan of the race, yet people are saying it will attract idiots (I can see the appeal). Is this a big deal? IE how badly would it actually affect the experience? (asking any experienced MMO players).

There will be idiots on both sides, as well as cool people with whom you can have fun with, ill pick asmodian no matter what others say, for me they look the coolest so its my personal choice

WoW is grind also and yet 11+ mil. players play it.

Wait... If you buy the 59 Euros Collector Editon you get 37 Days of play time, but you can activate it only if you buy another 30 days via CC or GTC? They must be joking.
And, what about that Aion GFX hype? it does not come close to 2004´s Far Cry. Ugly textures, plastic looking plants, cheesy colourful mobs, boring quests and battles. Ahh go away...
I stay with Free Realms, its fun and less kiddie stuff some may think. And its free.

No, i have 37 days free and i didnt needed to buy another 30 days, i just choose what subscription i want to have after 37 free days gone.

Ah ok, was just wondering about this :
"30 days of game time. Activation with a valid credit card or game time card is required. "
So you can cancel that subscription within the 37 days. Still bad for ppl without CC. Buying a GTC is your only option then.

what is it with people making short fat things... lol,, i saw a ton of "oh look im a wow dwarf clone attempt" running around with sword and board.. was fucking nuts.. bearded fucking dwares again almost, had it in warhammer/wow/ now fucking aion lol.. Frack off already damn short ass mooks!

forget aion, its gonna be a standard grindfest with some pvp as all fantasy mmo's
be real men and get your asses in eve-online, anyone moaning how long it takes to get settled (albeit 2mnths) have no willpower/determination and deserve to be playing aion

I've given EvE a good try (played 30 days). And even though I do love the complexity and most of the things in the game, I feel it demands more effort from me than I can put in. :/ Which is sad because I really did love it, but it's not worth it unless you really put in a lot of effort. |
that is true it demands a dedicated player, but not overly so.. Ill give you an example.. it can take say 2mnths to train a good mining hulk ship up, and with that it seems viable now that you only need to use that mining solidly for 24-48hrs (dedicated) you can of course spread that out over the mnth, and you can net yourself a plex(ingame 30 day time card sold for ingame money) for 280 million in isk (game money) which then pays for your next mnth of the mmo..
now this may mean training some mining crystals and joining a little group of people with some bonuses thrown in but its perfectly feasable now to just do a smaller amount of mining and pay for your game time like that...
The game is indeed complex when you start off on a new part of eve, be it combat/research etc but it can reward you well.. |

So now that the game goes "live" later today has anyone found out about any russian server? There usually is an unofficial one and I'd hate to end up on it by mistake.
