US release is in December, but a lot of game sites/magazines are saying EU release is 25th or 28th of this month. That doesn't strike me as too odd, publisher deals are a pain in the arse when it comes to regions.

I'm asking if you click to do everything or if you use the keyboard+mouse. I don't like those games where you click to do every damn thing... point and click to move the character there, etc.

Oh this seems interesting, I assume if I liked Gothic games I'll like this one too? Also other than the game itself, the patch and the files JB uploaded a few pages ago is there anything else required to play this in english (apart from voices)?

Try it, you may like it or you may not. I loved Gothics, but stopped playing this one somewhere in the middle. Main quest and story just didn't interest me enough to finish it. I also became too strong at that point for most enemies so that made combat boring. Only really great thing are side quests and secrets involved with them. But you soon notice that rewards for doing them aren't big and you can get much better items simply by knowing that most chests have auto-generated loot and you can keep loading quicksaves till you get what you need.

This game has some severe balancing issues. Sometimes you're just dropped in the middle of a fight without any escape possible, so you're pretty much screwed and have to try over and over again. Yet some areas are so easy, you feel like you came too late to the party. It would be fine if the player had some space to grind before the hard parts, but nope, no chance. Meh, I guess I'll keep trying. The potions are going down at a steady rate at the moment. Magical creatures in particular are overpowered. When they're grouped I get my ass kicked, even with a magical armor rating of 40%.

Hmm I'm getting some bad performance in this game with my PC that is sort of driving me away from playing it. Even on low-medium settings I dip to like 15 fps. My comp isn't the greatest tho, Intel E2160 @ 3.0 GHz, 2 GB RAM and nVidia 9600GT. Ah well I'll keep it around and play when I upgrade, it seemed like a decent rpg.

I'm stuck. I'm at the new area now, I can't go anywhere. I see a village of some sorts up on teh mountain, but I can't get to it because I'm blocked by an invisible wall. It looks like one of those anti-dragon walls, but even in human form I can't get past it. There's a teleporter on the other side of the mountaing, a philosopher sits there, but the teleporter is inactive. So what do I do?

Explore You'll eventually come to a teleporter that takes you right inside the sphere blocking the Bunker on the south-east wall. That's where you need to go. As said before, once you climb the ladder and get inside the bunker; MOVE!!! Move AWAY from the trap-door you climbed through. I'm not sure if it was patched or fixed or what, but if the two guys you're fighting in there knock you back through the trap-door --- it's over. The game is finished and you're stuck forever, cannot progress, cannot use the dragon-stone*
*There is a way to get back into the bunker, but it's insanely difficult and involves angling a jump SO perfectly that you jump off the roof and directly through the window, Zorro-style

Hell no! I maxxed out my Dual-Wield stuff, swinging an axe and a mace, and absolutely nothing stands in my way

Grid 28:10, that's the teleporter and the bunker that you need to get into. If you really have looked everywhere (trust me, you haven't ) and can't find the TP to get into the bunker, then you can just cheat -- Dragon mode, fly as fast and as high as possible TOWARDS the bunker roof. As soon as you pass through the barrier, and before you die obviously, press Q and switch to human. You'll fly through the air as a human and land on the roof. Just run to the other end of the roof and jump off onto the patch of ground below, then turn round and ascend the ladder to get inside.

While this is a good RPG, I don't feel like I'm playing a classic. I won't write a review untill I've finished, but one of the major aspects that bothers me is the lack of area. There's literally not one major town. How is that possible? Where is the exploration aspect? Where are the dozens of NPC's with quests? I guess I'm a bit disappointed. It's still a game worth recommending, but not really what I expected :/ The "episode 1" folder says it all I guess, this one is clearly some kind of testcase for an upcoming sequel.

Yeah, the lack of a real city dissapointed me too.
Spoiler: | I expected such area from my visit to that place you have to fly a zeppelin to get to, but it turned out to be a complete opposite. |
A good game, good story and atmosphere, full of details and very enjoyable but some of the design decisions i would call mistakes, which kinda lowers the value in the end. It's still a very good game, but too small, and honestly, if later parts in the game were more like the first, brillant Broken Valley, i would have probably liked it even more.
