the sound,the cutscenes,the graphics,the action...is beyond awesome!

btw i finished the game using 360 pad....mouse support and feel is total crap.

Stupid console nutjob! Mouse support is great and better than fucking X360 pussypad.

No it isn't - and I think you'll find the mass majority disagree with you. Mouse support in this game, while infinitely better than the modded hackjob in RE4, still blows goats.

I increased the sensitivity two notches, and once you get used to the fact you can't move and shoot at the same time, it's all good. The only problem is that aiming suffers when performance does.

I've got the 360 version mate and I've *never* seen those before, never seen the ability to block doors/windows with objects like that :-\

Maybe they only show up on easy? Or were just part of the demo?

Or maybe you are simply WRONG.

Congratulations, a Schwarzenegger niveau one-liner Very Happy

the ability to block doorways etc was in RE4, no matter what difficulty... in one area it was REALLY important you actually blocked doorways, and its the same with RE5..

Only if you stand next to a cupboard or something and a big button (that you can't miss Laughing) shows up on-screen telling you to push.

(Forum link, not a locked version of a trainer or anything, made by another user.)

Untested but might work if you follow the instructions carefully.
(LIVE isn't easy with savegames.)
(EDIT: Perhaps it can be disabled though, renaming works with Batman after all so it might work here.)

Thanks!!! Works great!

This game really is fantastic. It looks great, plays great, and it sounds great. It also has a surprisingly good replay value.

Setting stereo to on in the options file supposedly enables the laser sight, bit odd as it's supposed to work with the 3D stereo glasses option from NVIDIA, heh.
EDIT: Might cause some smaller visual glitches though.

So does playing with a gamepad

True a gamepad works better overall from what I've read but I can handle the mouse aiming quite well, some hectic fights can be troublesome though especially against larger foes and enemies that have the ability to one-hit you.
(Those insects for example are pretty tough and the later enemies in the challenge mode are downright brutal like the upgraded executioner enemy on the last level.)

Playing with a mouse gives you a cheap looking crosshair.
Playing with a gamepad gives you laser sight (that's how game was intended to play).

I can confirm that this works, tried it yesterday. Though, like you said, the game suffered from some annoying black artifacts here and there. The crosshair is fine IMO, so I switched back. Smile

the ps3 controller works... just when i try to map the buttons the program shuts down so i just said screw it.

also the mouse makes this game at least 10x easier. something like the highway segment took me at least 5-10 tries even with a partner on consoles but aced it on veteran on solo with a mouse.

this just confirms the fact that if they were to add move+shoot for the pc version it would drive the easymode into overkill.

Bullcrap. I played with a pad, my friend played with a mouse. We finished a few chapters and our accuracy was always similar. Both of us played normally without any care for stats.

well what's your average accuracy rating then? mine's usually 80-90% on PC but i remember it dipping down to 50-60% on console.

edit: oh and pretty sweet... it's the 18th and just managed to sign on to live with my UAW key i bought for SF4.

edit again: btw quick question: are GFWL keys tied to your account like steam? for instance if i install RE5 on a seperate computer can i just log into my account and be able to play online?

It worked for me with Dawn Of War 2, so try it. Use the same key I mean.
