Good news from a PESfan reviewer:
Quote: | First of all, the review code is not final code. It seems its around 90%, with the bulk of what will be in the final game. The only thing left to do is polish.
- Response times improved immensely! So happy about this
- Defending and collisions with players more realistic than previous code
- No excessive use of side foot shot animation, much more variety
- Fake teams now licensed, list to follow after embargo lifted
- Graphics have been touched up some more, really is incredible
- Loads of new faces (Balotelli, Santon etc)
- Still 22 stadiums
- Edit mode same as 75% version
- Penalties still not implemented
- More transfers done, but still some left (Sneider to Inter etc)
- New subtle animations. Nothing massive, but plenty of little animations to improve the flow of the game
- Quite a few licensed bands |

- At last...
- How much "more"?
- DEO GRATIAE
- Castro will be pleased, lol
- I dont give a damn
- Does this Pesfan viewer root for Internazionale?
- Yawn...
- Bleah... never used
- Cmon... is that so hard to do?
- Im sure not all transfers will be in final release nor 1.1 patch, as usual
- Gee, dont tell me... world will tear itself apart. First time since PES3
- Bands? My old GH guitar will be compatible with new pes?

nah, ive recently tried fifa10 (demo) and i know what id like to see in pes...
or simply... i know the kind of (perfect) game that could come from pes AND fifa together.
- right field and players proportions (pes)
- nice ball physics (more pes than fifa)
- nice players collisions (fifa)
- nice slow pace of the game (fifa)
- decent defending i.a. (none of the above)
- nice and fluid animations (more fifa than pes)
and those arent quite difficult things to fix.
looks like either konami programmers dont check out ea's game to improve, and same for ea to konami.
and both claim feedback check to improve "gamers experience".
my ass they do.

What a disappointment.
Overall graphics and lightning are great (except the cartoonish crowd), but the main problem sill remains the gameplay: it's surprisingly unresponsive (actually much more than PES 2009), CPU driven and unsatisfying. I don't know if it's my x360 controller's fault, but I find that passing, dribbling and changing direction are totally messed up; players reaction times are incredibly huge, ruining teamplay and favouring solo actions. And what about animations?...there are some improvements here and there, but most of them are still ISS-alike; and the 360 movement? I can't see it anywhere.

4players link works but it's extremely slow. I'm in no hurry for it though.

PC version is also unresponsive like hell...
I can't pass when I want, it takes a second to think and then it's often too late (offside, throw-in, goalkick etc.). Same with shots, crosses and changing direction. I can't control the game like I did in previous versions.
With other words, the game is totally unplayable I think...
Big, BIG dissapointment.

2008 and 2009 are rubbish too, I'm still playing PES 6, the last decent football game.

x360 controller here too:360 movement is more than obvious and controller works perfectly.
Here and there there's some slow responsiveness but it has to do with the new animations and 2 foot dribbling and ball recieving with the weak foot. It's much more realistic to me and takes away the pinball pes2009 passing.I like it so far. It's better than i expected.
