Nope, it still isn't :/ I've been into modding this one, and, believe me, there was no possibility to make it look that way. The tree/grass/plants models and those textures even weren't in the game at all..

Early Two Worlds 2 images were a bit excessive as well but later ones (Temptation screens actually.) looked pretty close to the main game albeit with various improvements, been improved since then as well from what I've read albeit some of the new images like that reflective room might be a bit suspicious to some, regardless though I'm fairly certain the updated engine will delive some nice visuals albeit we'll have to wait and see what the final results will be.
(Tweaking the game a bit might be possible with the PC version, and maybe the X360 version if they keep the console in it this time around as well.)
(Two Worlds underwent some big artistic changes later on, parts of the files still exist but of the visuals above only some of the early images only fragments remain like that shield - not found ingame though outside of console uage - and the Kit Rae sword, horse driven carriage was removed as well and many armor and weapon models were changed, monsters look pretty much the same though.)
Similar to the early alpha builds of Gothic 3 or Arcania I'd say.
(Speaking of those both Risen - supposedly also October - and Arcania: A Gothic Tale - 2010 Q1 or so - do look very good in my opinion and might be good competition to this game, same with the localized versions of Divinity 2 if those are out in October followed by titles like Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2 on the RPG front.)
EDIT: Oh right here's a test image from console over usage.

(Engine.AutoDOFTolerance at a negative value, sharpen instead of blur, pretty much like a emboss filter actually.)

Looks like a standard RPG to me, nothing amazing. And fluid, realistic animations are MUCH more important than some lame bloom sunflare effect anyway. TW1 was a bit lacking in that department imo.

Nothing special looking really. TW1 was a disaster for me. It just didnt feel right and the animations were gastly. What is the point in having beatiful graphics if the character you are playing with has no weight and it feels like he is floating in the world. Many RPGs have this problem actually. The character moves faster yet the leg movement isnt tuned to it so it looks like the world is moving under him rather than he is moving in the world.

Graphically talking is great without any doubt, but all the others fields are a big question mark.

Bump.
Supposedly wasn't this going to be out today? Obviously it's not, but are there any updates?
