sabin1981: i meant GENRE, cause i think NFS should be like FPS or RPG game. I wonder why Blizzard doesnt make DIABLO 3 game with Hitman playing style and with some ice hockey elements. Or maybe they will try that? And maybe this is why they delayed a game for two more years Smile
I think u don't need to make so drastic and noobish changes to a game so it could be better. As for NFS... i guess it is much easier to make like 100 tracks, input like 30 cars and whoalia we have a "superb" racing game. Well SHIFT is a racing game, but it shouldn't have name of NFS.

intresting i have a 4890 and my fps during races are around 40-50 but can drop to 30 sometimes but if ati is working on a driver to increase fps im even more happy

Game runs very good. 45-50 frames with all settings maxed out. The cards look so amazing !

I'm really enjoying this NFS so far even if it is quite challenging to me, since this is the first racer I decided to play with the in-car view, not the behind the car view. Huge difference, but fun!

Guys can someone help me please? When i double click the shift icon, i get "the nfs shift has stopped working" error. The game doesnt even start. What could be wrong? I have:
C2duo 8200, 2gb ram, AtiHD4850, vista 32bit

Any idea?

maybe u had to press esc again...... and if its your first race for seeing your competence and i dont mean that lightly Very Happy, you have to finish the race before you get the quit option Very Happy Cool Face

yeah it was the test lap..game ran like shit so I wanted to get out quickly to tone down the graphics but couldn't Laughing

When you start a new career, there are no quit button in the first 2 races period.
Same on 360.

The first "race" isn't really a race though is it, it's the driver analysis - a single lap. The second "race" determines your funding to purchase your car to start your racing career, or rather to actually start the game.

So after the above, is the first real race, with the quit option available.
