Well, EA's stupidity is beyond words.Can't choose to run in full screen if resolution ingame isn't desktop's native?And can't alt+enter either.Perfect.

Yeah it worked for me too! The game runs but can't play because of bad framerate, even if I low down all the options the game still choppy.

Having the same problem. Why don´t they just let us customize the resolution and AA? jesus

edit: go to graphicsconfig.xml and and change:

<prop name="Windowed" windowed="1" />

to:

<prop name="Windowed" windowed="0" />

tried those out of curiosity, and found it very understeering, the wheel was moving half a turn before it really started much of a movement. it was feeling good but when u came to tight corners for my wheel it wasnt responsive enough,,, 50% speed steer and 1% steer deadzone i found more suitable for me..

What about those exclusive pre-order contents? Do you think there will be a way to catch the codes and unlock the exclusive stuff for us as well?

Don't know if you figured it out but they're used in Quick race under "Reward cars". Probably multiplayer as well.

What does the EMUDVD mean?

It means that release doesn't have a crack, you mount it with daemon tools and pray it works.

EMUDVD stands for Energizing Monkey Urinals DVD, it's just a fancy scientific term to represent their inability to crack the game, they just make a clone. It only works for disc-base protections, online-based don't allow for the urinals to be energized, then you need a crack always.

Figured it out - you can't quit until you finish the first race...then you have a proper menu Smile

The same shit as with previous Undercover. Default was 1024x768, all settings low. It looked like shit. Undercover was optimized for keyboard play.

This game doesn't support Windows 7. You run it on your own risk.

Also, how can you be sure that it is Win 7 fault?

I'm not playing NFSS on my Win 7 PC, but I have instaled tons of games on it and so far the experience has been as good as it gets.

ATI is freaking pathetic. Looks like EVERYTIME a new game is released, you need to wait for new drivers so you can actually play the game without gfx problems/slowdowns/stuttering/etc.

I'm sick and tired of installing new drivers and driver fixes every two weeks. New driver versions released every four weeks, and driver fixes every two weeks.

Do you honestly believe it's because of ATI or because of the way the game is coded?

It's not just this game, that is why I blame ATI. Last game I played was red faction and it has massive flickering on 4870x2 cards. This is due to catalyst 9.9 drivers, NOT the game.

I have 3850 and 9.9 drivers with no flickering. Set your card properly instead of whining and blaming others.

Actually there are tons of people playing it just fine using Windows 7. On the other hand there are a separate group who are crashing using XP/Vista/7 as well.

But no one is crashing during a loading screen like me. Most are crashing at the first turn of the introductory race. I haven't even been in game other then the menu's.

Also for those of you crashing at that turn go into the control options and set the controls to preset 4 which is keyboard because the game defaults to a pad for some reason.

The 190.xx drivers are horrible, 186.xx are the best.

Actually, as someone who hasn't liked the 190.xx series of drivers up until now, I can tell you that 190.89 are VERY good.

Just like Mirrors Edge on XP64, getting an error when running it and compatibility mode doesn't work like it did with Mirrors Edge

Ahhh, Oh well, I'll have to skip another boring race, race, buy, mod a car in a game, race, buy something and race

TF2 just updated, maybe I'll go see what Valve broke this time
