I have an ATI card so the physx will probably not work for me.
However.. i still got an old BFG Technologies AGEIA Physx PCI Card lying around.
Does anyone know if this will work?

Sadly, no. The game uses a newer version of PhysX which is incompatible with Ageia, only works with nVidia.

no, dont bother with that shite...
also update will give u aa options for ati cards, so its worth installing it, just turn physx off unless you like 5fps bog roll stuttering infront of your eyes..

k another question here,if u help in detail i will be very pleased
im using windows xp sp3,installed the batman d2d version played upto the ivy level and got the invisible wall bug.so got annoyed and uninstalled the game and the save game too.
later download the" Scale " save files to work .after yesterdays reloaded release ,i just downloaded the new crack and today installed the d2d version once again.copied the reloaded crack over it.when the game starts it showed new game.
i read all the readme
"01. Go to C:\Users\UserName\Eidos\Batman Arkham Asylum\
02. Replace the SaveData folder with the one provided. Make a backup first.
03. Go to C:\Users\UserName\Appdata\Local\Microsoft\
04. Replace the XLive folder with the one provided. Make a backup first.
05. Run the game (the buggy Direct2Drive release).
06. It will show you that all save slots are empty.
07. Press the "Home" key on the keyboard.
08. Click "Sign in" on the Games For Windows Live screen.
09. Login to the "Scale" profile.
10. Click on the red X mark to close the GamesForWindows Live prompt.
11. Hit enter to reload the profile (it asks you to reload).
12. The fourth save slot shows you a savegame. Load it.
13. You are now at Botanical Gardens without the invisible wall.
14. Play through and finish the game. I did.

Edit: stupid pointless error; the game still runs fine with Physx on

Says the same thing here on GTS250 even though it uses PhysX in-game without any problems.
