I am. It's much better with a pad. Vehicle handling is far better, mounted weapons aiming is fine and just feels much better in general.

Aiming with a controller is like trying to perform heart surgery when you've got Parkinson's and lubed up hands. It's not very precise and it doesn't end well for either you or your character.

Mouse on the other hand has pinpoint accuracy with half the reaction time.

Tried it with my PS3 controller - still sucked ass - just like on the PS3. Then again, I guess it all depends on how much you favor a controller.

Not really. I play quiet a few games on xbox live (gears2, bad company) so i'm getting better at aiming with a pad every day. Yes, mouse is still superior for aiming, BUT controller is not that bad either as some of you make it out to be. And don't forget this game is not all about aiming, driving with a controller is about 10x better.

There's 20+ pages of us whining about crappy performance, mate. I think it's fair to say; no, you're not the only one.

Shit, I may only be running a dual-core, but it's clocked at 3.6Ghz and paired with 4GB of 1.1Ghz OCZ Platinum *and* a 4870-1GB. Still getting dire performance during explosions. I've pretty much given up on the game until Volition release some patches, or if it's crack-related; until a proper comes out.

[UPDATE]
Interesting, I decided to do the dual boot to Vista test now instead of tomorrow and guess what, no speed issues. Vista32bit Ultimate using Forceware 190.38 drivers compared to Win7 32 bit using Xtreme-G 190.62. Might decide to try some different Forceware drivers on Win7 just as a precaution.

I fucking told you ALL. The game is fine, there's nothing wrong with it. There's nothing wrong with your drivers, there's nothing wrong with your hardware, there's nothing wrong with the GAME.

Blame fucking Reloaded, again. Their crack is bollocksed up - just as I've been saying. Protection triggers all over the place, but they only affect the main game and multiplayer.

Red Faction Guerilla. Max settings. Every fucking option on highest. In the MAIN game, 50-80fps, drops to 10s during heavy physics. In the DLC game, 50-80fps, drops to no lower than 50 during heavy physics. No speed ups, no slow downs, shit .. it's even got full dynamic lighting and shadowing, unlike the main game.

Reloaded fucked up, just like they did on Darkstar One.

Just wait for a Proper, or a Clone, guys.

yeah that might quite well be the reason Very Happy but they only cracked the launcher, not sure if that has any real input on game code, as the launcher just fires up the main exe of the game right?

And a quick update from me too: As I mentioned, my game got the speed-up problem on Windows 7. Installed Windows XP SP3 with latest Catalyst (9.9) on an old Harddisk, no speed issues. Really seems like Windows 7 is causing this problem. Not the best solution of course, but everyone with speed-issues at least has a solution available.

Stupid ass Reloaded. No, wait, stupid ass SCENE! It's all a fucking race, the first one to get the crack out first; wins! Then we have the cat and mouse bullshit of Nuked>Proper>Nuked>Proper.

Gah. Sod this, I'm going back to Demons of the Badlands, at least that plays perfectly!

If that was the case, why would the issues only affect the main campaign and not the DLC missions?

No, it's not my machine nor my OS. It's the crack and the way triggers work is that not everyone gets them (Darkstar One, I'm looking at you!)

Aaaaaaaaaaaand there it goes again. Flawless gameplay, never dropped below 50, then I destroyed some pissy little building - and boom, dropped to below 10fps. Carried on passed it, now it's happening all the time. Even during weapon change.

Fuck this game and fuck Reloaded.

Uninstall. I'll just play the superior 360 version once I get it back.

Might as well do that. It´s just that some friends said "it runs silky smooth" and I how was like "wtf, he has a shitty rig compared to mine, something is wrong".
It makes no sense that i get 28fps with no AA on 1920x1220.

all it is is some driver/hardware and god knows what else issues... if some are playing it with crack all fine then thats all it can be,, i had the pausing (like small stuttering in menu only) the game itself was smooth until like sabin u start smashing the big stuff up u get it slow up a little or sometimes it slows up alot..

wait and see on this one i guess..

Why do you blame RLD oh sabin, master of rage ? Very Happy

Maybe the bad performance is game-related, and maybe the win7 speed-up is a bug, so let's just wait for a patch, someone with the legit game, or maybe some proper (if it's crack related)

P.S.: I find it pretty amazing that none of us have bought the game ! Laughing

no? Some people managed to complete Batman with the first crack. This copy protection just seems to work very differently on different systems, so it seems very possible to be crack related to me.

Because if it was "bad performance" on the game, EVERYONE would have it. But nohhhh, people with piece of shit PCs that I wouldn't even spit on are claiming to have far superior performance.

Then you have those with uber high-end stuff like twin 4870s and i7s - claiming that it's a slideshow mess.

What about people that are suddenly gettting double speed on everything? That never happened to me, nor anyone I know on my other site.

Weird no? So yeah, I *know* it's the crack - because this shit is too random to be part of the game. Some are getting speedup, others are getting slowdown, regardless of hardware.

But it's not securom or anything, it's Stardock's protection, I find it strange if they have implemented triggers, especially random/system-based ones.

Weird shit. I still think it's all bugs+performance problems.

By the way, on my PC it runs about 30% faster than normal, but when big destructions happen it slows down Sad (win64,c2d e8400,gtx260,4gb)
