I have only tried the benchmark yesterday, it seems like a simple and arcady shooter. What happened to Resident Evil? I'll try this though, gotta try new things I guess.

As many ppl said, don´t expect a Residen Evil. It´s just a TPS with black zombies and RE inventory. There are some nice scenes and reckless action, but it´s far from scary as RE1 was.

So how's the G4WL key here? And what's that talk about RF locking down your key?

Also over the shoulder generally sucks. I prefer full behind shot so I can admire Chris' tight hot ass run around in all its glory!

Mister_s: If you've only seen the benchmark, you're missing everything. It's no more "simple arcade shooter" than Resident Evil 4 was, and RE4 was the best of the series IMO.

Thanks mate! I just installed the latest WinV drivers last night, working fine (though I don't like losing the sensitivity controls when I close the CP, I have to keep the CP running all the time now... arghhhh, fucking Logitech)

EDIT: Wonder if that tweak from the benchmark (HDRLevel=high from =low) works in the full version, changes from 32-bit HDR to 64-bit, kinda like this.

(Not my screen, user had a 3.33 Ghz quad and a 2x 4870x2 cards with 6GB RAM.)

AHAHAHAHA!! My god, I thought I'd try that. Set it to HDR=HIGH and it doesn't look any different whatsoever, except there's a 15fps perf-hit. Dropped from 75 to 60. Weird.

Works fine here mate. I think what the new system means is that the key is registered to YOUR account and your account ONLY. Not that it can't be used on other games, just that it can't be used on another account once registered.

I tested G4W:L a bit more, new 3.0 titles such as Section 8 and Red Faction allow you to register the key to your account so that no other people can use it (You still can) but after activating a few games it'll complain about the key being invalid (Needs a new key.) though it seems clearing the cache a bit (Appdata\Local\Xlive, deleting the stuff there aside from DLC content.) might help with that.

(Tested by clearing the Xlive folder and then starting Red Faction, registering the key and letting the profile update, then I used the key in RE5, Batman and Battlestations but had to use a new key for GTA IV and Fallout 3, seems there might be a limit of five activations, needs to be tested a bit but I also want to avoid going trough too many activations or rather keys, haha.)

i can confirm that clearing cache for me does not help, i have 5 "titles" as per folder in app data/local/microsoft/xlive/

one of those is RE5 i guess as the date is yesterday when i installed it,, all other game title folders have a config.bin and a token.bin, re5 does not have a token.bin.

So maybe its just 4 titles u can activate?

Perhaps I miscounted then, clearing the cache will prompt for a new CD-key when you log into LIVE (As the old info will be gone, though part of your profile is stored online as well.) so it might have helped, entering the same key should work though but it seems there's a finite amount of activations now.
(Offline profile will of course work if you don't need any of the online features.)

C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\XLive

Content as it holds your profile information and Titles as it holds game specific information, other folders are for game updates, system cache (Or something.) and DLC. Smile

When done next time you start a GFW:Live title it'll prompt you to sign in and then enter your cd-key again, should clear out the data as I understand it but I'm a bit uncertain.

Don't generalise with me, son. I've bought and owned every games console or platform ever made, with the exception of the PS3 - yes, that includes the Gamecube. I'll bet that's a damn sight more than you've ever bought or owned.

No, L4D isn't the best game ever - not even close. Call of Duty 4 pisses on it from the greatest heights.

No, RE Zero and RE Remake are *not* the best ever. They may be the best to YOU, and that's fine, but don't stick your opinion down my throat. I preferred RE4. Deal with it, peon.
