Ubisoft was the publisher for EU & US, as EA Taiwan was for the other countries.
The game was part of a deal Capcom made with Sourcenext, to port three PS2 games to the PC. These were DMC3: SE, Onimusha 3 & RE4. All of them were mediocre ports.
When you choose a company that has nothing to do with serious gaming: http://www.sourcenext.com/ & http://www.sourcenext.com/en/products/ to port your products, something is seriously wrong with you or you simply don't care for the end result.
And then like you peoples were all like, "YOU IS TROLLIN!" and I was like "I AM NOT TROLLING!! I AM guess_who_kthxbai YOU SEE! Mm!"

Cause it hasn't reached the hands of the right people yet.... The moment they get it, they'll upload it.

"Right people" It doesn't take someone with IQ of 140 to do a clone. You just run a tool.

I can't wait to play this online coop should be fun. But I have a feeling I'm going to have a hard time finding people to play with 70% of the people who I have played in Street Fighter 4 put me on their avoid list. What blows is this people block me simply because I win and normally with ease.
I'm polite, don't excessively spam special moves and I think that's what pisses them off the most is that I win with out being cheap like most of them are.
Anyways I think I may use my spare GFWL key and just create a new account for RE5 otherwise I'll never find someone to play with.

Shit happens all the time... though why do you say this is a perma-ban? I think it's temporary.

I'll download this game and play it a bit I think but I'm not expecting too much of it.
I tried it a bit on my friend's ps3 and thought it was average compared to RE 4 which was awesome even on the crappy PC port (the one I actually played). The problem of these recent games is that they've totally lost the sense of creepiness and atmosphere like there used to be in games like Silent Hill or Stalker. Gun firing and blasting hordes of zombies à la Gears Of War instead of setting a mood and pacing action, like in japanese horror movies. I know its a cliché but it has never been more true.
But yes the online was pretty satisfying.

I thought RE4 had no creepiness either unfortunately. Though I still like both RE4 and RE5, but they're not Resident Evil in my eyes. They're more action horror, with focus on action more than horror. I'm not saying I want the old graphics or the way the camera worked in the old ones. I just want it to be creepy, scary and dangerous again.
I mean, I don't think I'll ever forget when I first encountered Nemesis running through a wall, after me in RE3. Damn, that was scary. |
I couldn't agree more. But I would like to make a comment about the older games in the series and the camera angles. While they certainly were annoying at times they really did help with the survival horror part of the game. You didn't always know what was coming and some of the scenes alone with the camera positioned where it was created a great effect and feel of the game. I would love it if Capcom would crate have two lines of RE games one with the old style and one with the new but that will never happen.
