No, adding support to all the other pads is helluva of extra work. You expect them to add a gamepad button pictures to every single pad out there? Or you like seeing "press spacebar to jump" when you play with a pad? I don't, and I'm very happy with purchase of wired 360 controller for PC gaming.

purchase or not, its retarded, I dont care seeing "press space to jump" you know why? cause its only initially im guessing while you learn whats what..
Now i dont care if they dont support all controllers or just 360 to behonest, what i do care about is the fact they dont let you map it directly in the movement options...
The only other thing to try fo those not using a 360 controller, is to try something like xpadder etc.

are you surprised with it not supporting it tho? A lot of games for pc these days are 360 ports, so it's easier to port those configs and shit over *shrug*
like most others I use a 360 pad too, guess you'll just have to adapt at some point :\
funny thing tho, I installed road rash 95 about a month ago and it natively supported my gamepad lol, it didn't show the 360 buttons but showed button 1 button 2 etc
now that's what i call good programming

I care obviously. Not every has low standards like you. When I play with a keyboard I want to see keyboard keys on screen. When I play with a pad I want to see correct pad buttons representing the pad I have.

Look, if you want to see x360 icons, then fine. The game can just show Button 0,1 etc on non-recognized gamepads. Seriously, think about what you're saying.
I mean, come on now ... this is like that time when I was whining valve for the euro=dollar prices and Areius told me to stfu because games in europe are expensive anyway ! Get some correct perspective.

glottis if you want to see xbox 3 icons stick to your fooking console and lets have these devs make a bit more effort with a port and remove that shit and lets us bind our own controllers, its enough we bought it say for the pc etc, So why would we want console shite showing on our screen.. yeah fuckers!
on a diff note, im using a xbox controller its just not a 360 one, and they dont even like to support that.
And the only standards that are low young man, are the ones that you have mr glottis cause your standards are singular in representation that the only fucking thing that should exist controller wise in your eyes is a 360 one lol.. , there should be more choice, and than making it "A standard" as ports these days seem to be, and I dont think asking for any controller remap option is a big deal... its not even a big job to do. Again its lazyness governed by potentialy selling more controllers.
Low standards ,, lol, your fucking insane man lol...

Personally, I don't like its trigger configuration, and the way it looks and feels.

You don't understand a thing! PC means customization. If you don't spend 5 hours customizing shit before you can start playing you are not hardcore. Having 360 controller is a sing of weakness because it's always customized for you.

Thats not the point, I have a 360 wireless, I have 3 xbox originals with 6 gamepads as well.
I have plenty of pads here to use with the older variant, I shouldnt fucking need to go buy another if they work on inputs like all controllers do, its just cause either a) drivers say its not what it wants, or B) there is a hardware signature somewhere as well that stops u using anything but a 360 one..
I will no doubt HAVE to buy one for yes its only like £20 but it was more the "why the fuck should i need to really?" than cost.. |
