I watched the trailer and it was looking good and interesting and more the trailer went on, more the game looked weird and shitty and FireMaster confirmed it when he talked about the demo.

Might be a fun shooter though a bit dated perhaps (With extra PhysX effects available as a extra, hehe.) but it seems to have a certain style (Albeit preventing key individuals from dying as they weren't supposed to seems like a weak story element.), need to play it myself though as I skipped the demo version.
(After all you get shot in or perhaps near the dick with a arrow during the initial mission, Little Big Horn I believe that battle was called, Custer and that - It's in the demo as well. Very Happy )

EDIT: But then again the main reason to play a game shouldn't really be to get shot in the cock. Laughing

80/100 by PC Gamer..Maybe it's not that bad.I skipped demo version too.
JB, i think in COJ2 there are missions that you must prevent specific characters from dying too.

Wow, they just lost all credability...
Its just another corridor shooter. But with less intelligent AI than a standard shooter.
Its a typical console game and if u are looking for a good console shooter this might be it.
But for PC this game sucks pretty bad. And at first the story was interesting, but when its just rince and repeat it gets boring really quick.

Graphics are good at times but some effects really shows what platform it was intended to run on.
Sound is ok. After u've "seen" the game u get what u expect i guess...
Gameplay, its made for console, no doubt. And if all u want is some mindnumnbing killing frenzy, then this is the game for u.
However dont compare this type of killing frenzy with any of the COD games. U'll just be dissapointed...

Of course, many games use parts were you must protect someone or something, I didn't explain myself that well but I meant that part of my post as it being rather weak as the key element of the game.

Not to debate the story of a action FPS shooter that much but it's more or less summarized by that you as the playable character is saved from the massacre from Little Big Horn by some future soldier (Right after taking a arrow at the crotch.) and are then told to travel back and forth in time to prevent key individuals (Glowing blue aura around them from what I read in a preview.) from dying and if they still die there will be some troublesome consequences for the player. (Taken from the same preview.)

Bit of a odd objective as I see it which is why I made that comment, hope that explains it a bit better. Smile
(Shooting for sport - you being technically superior in weaponry - or just testing advanced weapons - bit of a odd way but whatever - would be a bit more believable. Very Happy )

just some troll of nforce's past that never shuts the fuck up about how steam is uncrackable etc.

kind of like the retard Hfric that said xbox 360 elite was going to get a patch to bring it up to DX10

Just read the "Steam" topic... pure gold...

Quote:
this are the proofs that there is nothing until now to make working real steam games and steam is high proof of crack. only for some games u have full access to download and then only until when Valve don't go to update them. games that get dayly updates u can't get them working for nothing from here

I love the high proof of crack Very Happy

But back ontopic...

So i the full game better than the demo? Cuz that kinda sucked...

Darkest of Days provides a unique and overall well put together single player campaign. Any fan of action games or time travel mechanics should give this one a serious look.
Videogames

Gameplay
I liked the time travel themes, and the characters and story were interesting too. Straight-forward, action heavy FPS gameplay in eras players normally don't get to play in, with weapons they normally don't get to use. Good stuff.

Presentation
8monkey Labs' own Marmoset engine is rather impressive. The number of characters on screen at once really makes the atmosphere possible and the game maintains a good framerate throughout. Nice lighting and and visuals overall, complimented by a good soundtrack and voiceovers.

Value
You can get this for under $50, but without multiplayer or much of a reason to replay the campaign, there may not be enough here to warrant a full purchase. A rental is highly advised though.

Fun Factor
I enjoyed playing through Darkest of Days; it has a nice pace and a lot of good things going for it that keep it entertaining, although the first half hour of play is fairly slow (not uncommon, but hey).

The installer seems to do something extremely weird, if you infact have an up-to-date version of physx installed it will actually prompt you to uninstall it and then tell you that the install is complete. It'll then crash upon starting a new game. Try reinstalling physx by downloading the drivers from Nvidia's site, it'll (hopefully) work then.

i heard about this game 2 yrs ago and i liked the story of timecop. always wanted to use some scifi weapon or our current weapons in past centuries. just for effect Smile

i played demo and i liked it with some humor taste you have to have when going over few things like automated (hard-rails) movement in some areas which is part of 'the script'. But I liked it and gfx is fine, not excellent but i dont need one...

definitely gonna try full

Only problem I got so far is, I'm stuck with civil war era guns and those freaking time travel bitches pop up out of freaking nowhere. Gimme a real gun, I can shoot these fuckers but with a freaking musket? How's a one shot musket against three of those guys gonna work? O.o Are you fucking with me game? I bet you are...

Ok, figured, those guys showed up if you fucked up majorly by killing historical figures, being where you're not supposed to etc.
Avoided them most of the time Very Happy
Finished it in... 7 or 8 hours or so.
Ending was kinda cool but kinda sucked because they set up a sequel... which will probably never see the light of day anyway.Well, maybe they wrap it up with an addon or something *shrug* We'll see.

What is this game's problem, it tells me to press LT to aim but it's actually LB like it's written in the controls menu and I can't change it, all the controller buttons are blacked out.

Also there is a shimmering white line at the bottom of the screen, not to be paranoid but is this game tying to give me an epilepsy attack?
