I guess nobody cares now, but CD-Action has a review of PC version.

It got 9+/10 , with quotes like:

Quote:
Ezio from Assassin's Creed 2 should be on the lookout at all times- Batman is waiting for him

Quote:
One of the best action games in the history of PC gaming

Quote:
If you like action games, Batman is a must-have

Quote:
Without hesitation- so far Batman is the best title this year

Pros:

+ Excellent locations
+ Even more excellent fights
+ the best predator feel
+ Breathtaking hallucinations
+ to sum it all: everything!

Cons:

- One fight with boss is repeated too many times

So the invisible wall upon entering the Botanical Gardens for the second time is definitively a game stopper? No way around it?

Sure, you can get around it with the gravity trick. But the empty space in Ivy's room a few moments later is the end of the line it seems except for those lucky few who didn't get it.

I was afraid of that, thanks (I guess) for confirming my suspicions. End of the line then. God, I just hope my current savegames will work with a proper scene release. As great as this game is, I don't want to replay the entire thing this soon...

comabt gets a little...harder? later one, the point isn't to just destroy everything, the point is to not get hit..if you can Wink doing combos and reversals is what the combat is all about. Retail is hell of a lot funner than the demo.

I thought the demo sucked. The only fun thing about it was the combat at the beginning, but that was over quite quickly. I have played some random part of the fullversion though (PS3) and its better than the demo, so dont dismiss it just yet.

I was the same. The demo just didn't grab me at all, it was kinda dull, but the full game has kept me playing for hours. Awesome stuff.

explained it previously so might as well do it again.

the invisible wall is SUPPOSED to be there.... though not invisible but there is supposed to be huge vines blocking the exit. the way you exited botanical gardens the first time around when they appeared was to climb under them via an open grate.

anyways if you look to the left when entering botanical gardens again there is an opening you can go through... however, since the grapple icon failed to show a bit further in i just went back to entrance and did the gravity trick.

Really? Because I noticed the vent on the left and went through it, only to hit what I figured was another 'invisible wall'. Must've been more vines. But I didn't look for a vent. Guess I'll go back to look again. Thanks mate.

i came across the 2nd set of vines too when going left from the opening... you're supposed to duck under them and enter slightly from the right side i think it was.

and it wasn't a vent but a ledge... but still if everything fails just do the gravity trick from the entrance.

I seriously can't believe that some guys are actually gonna pirate this game.

Rocksteady had the balls to release a demo on PC, which is really rare these days. Hell, the game is really optimized for PCs.

I know, I'm on a warez forum, but still, I would feel bad pirating this game.

If you like the game, support the developers and buy it. This way we may avoid the delay for PC version if a sequel appears (for example- Assassin's Creed II launches simultaneously on all 3 platforms)

Actually have to agree there, there have been very few games out in the past year or so that came close to this one, assassins creed was nice, but overall a bit samey, batman somehow doesn't seem to get the 'bleh, been there done that before' feeling, its one of the few games that i actually plan to buy, simply to pay kudos to the developers, they did a hell of a job, hopefully more games will take note.

You don't need games for a living now, do you:?

But hey, it's your choice, I'm not in a place nor do I have any real reason to sermon you.

Assassins creed was pure hyped-up console mediocrity.

Wolverine was actually good but a real xmen game would be a blast.

Just because 1 out of 100 game companies made the OBVIOUS and optimized a game for pc(and released a demo Confused ) ,so many pc users/gamers must feel sooo generous and support them? And your point that buying this game we may avoid the delay of a sequel is just plain ignorance.

Tried it, and it worked. Got the grapple point, went up but now the vent exits but the entire exit seems to be blocked. If they're invisible vines, I can't seem to be able to get around them.

No, the game is just damn good. I almost always support developers that make good games- be it Rockstar, Blizzard, Ubisoft(I mean, before they moved into more casual games), CDProjekt...

Then why is Assassin's Creed II released on all 3 platforms on the same day? If you remember, AC1 PC was released like 6 months after console versions.

That seems not to be the case, it is stated in official FAQ that all versions of game will be released at the same day, it was also confirmed by developer at official boards on 27th august
