Well, It gets this high mark for the following things : Acting, cinematography, atmosphere and Maggie Gylenhaal's sweet self.

The batman and superhero stuff was still kinda lame as was the first film, but this film was more adult and had more of a believable story so I enjoyed it more. Heath ledger played the joker very eerily, but wasnt the best part imo.

Id say worth a watch if you have a reason to do so, but in all honest I probably wont watch it again.

District 9 - Lulz,,,, wtf was this about eh?... what a good movie idea, but brutaly ruined by the director/locaiton actors etc etc..

Started to watch this one last night, and thought ok odd begining but I see what they are doing, but it was all so tongue and cheek acting it came across to be "humorous".. was it meant to?

The best acting was done by the alien christopher and his son lol, im deadly serious... I enjoyed watching the film yes, but it was just fucking funnny, It has the show off ideals in the marketing as a blockbuster film, from covers to clips... But it falls on its ass with me as an almost B rated movie "attempt" at that,, sure visuals at times were good but nothing that cant be done these days by any director..

5/10 for effort..... thats it.. .. Oh and im still laughing..Very Happy

Män som hatar kvinnor (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) [1080p] - 6.5 / 10

Strange movie, or more like a mishmash of Nazis, spontaneous violence, ass raping, cock sucking and a good story. Some monologues makes you think who is more sicker, the character portrayed by an actor or the writer whom wrote the text Very Happy

At first I rated movie as 6 / 10, but as there are Single Malt without ice drinking scene and a lot of Macs, I decided to rise that by 0.5. Single Malt Whisky maniac and Mac evangelist inside me were deeply satisfied

P.S. The release I watched were in Swedish with English subs. The quality of subs ranged from average to bad. In a movie there are quotes from Leviticus. Translation from Hebrew --> Swedish --> English went really bad IMHO. I had to google the quotes.

Thanks, deelix. That is much more suitable for the movie. Now I wonder even more about the subs, were they complete sentences or just the summary of the key parts Very Happy

I saw this movie aswell and I thought it was brilliant..the sex is all of importance to the story I think and the music and acting was extremely well done. Having read the book before, I have to say that the movie was a 90% translation, very well done.

I haven't read the book, and to be honest I didn't even know there was one till I saw the movie. So it felt a little bit rushed and cramped, 2:30 was not long enough for this movie IMHO Agree on acting, especial the goth girl Smile

Yes, really. The reason being that I couldn't let all the plot holes slip by this time. Usually, I do, and enjoy the action/cgi, but for some reason I couldn't do it with this movie. You'll probably enjoy it though Laughing

what plot holes ?
jesus some people are idiots expecting to be fed every fucking detail of the story and apparently nothing should be left up for interpretation ...
i didnt see nothing questionable , it's sci-fi , i mean fook , the movie/script was well put together with nothing really out of place .
i don't question taste , sure some might not like it cause they were expecting Cloverfield bullshit extravaganza .
sure it aint perfect , i found the scene where Wikus was talking on the phone with his wife just .. bad , but it was a great first time and money very well spent . it's made sofar more than Cloverfield which was teased for at least 6 months before its release , and D-9 is just shy from 100 mil domestically and that's really an achievement that it has made on its own , and it's great for something that aint really popular genre like R-Rated comedies.

monsters vs aliens 7/10

when it started i was pretty dissapointed with it... and while some of the humor were seriously tired and pathetic (keyboard scene, dancing game, etc...) as it progressed it turned into one of the most enjoyable films ive seen in a while... the majority of it was pretty funny, the characters were likable enough and overall it was a nice story... so while it wasnt the best of the recent animated films, it was definately a really good movie i thought.

still havent seen district 9... not sure if ill get r5 or wait for dvdrip... but if i DO get r5, which is the best release to get? complete release name i mean...

Try the "District.9.REPACK.R5.LiNE.XviD-KAMERA" + " District.9.SUBFiX.R5.LiNE.XviD-KAMERA "

Now on topic:

Yesterday i saw "Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis" aka "Welcome to the Land of Shtis"

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1064932/

Read this is one of the most popular movies ever in france, so i tried it.

A great feelgood movie.

Was really funny so i give this a 8/10.
