The very first RTS I played (and indeed, the game that put RTS on the map). I spend hours on end with this game, using the semi-cheat to build concrete and turrets all the way up to the enemy Very Happy

Upcoming PC games 2009 and onwards

hehehe, another good semi-cheat was to drive a fast unit behind the enemy base so that the enemy started shooting at their own building instead of you Very Happy

No, I can't recall the name of the first, but Dune 2 wasn't it. However, it did but the genre on the map as I said and made it popular.

And in later levels with the Ordos the deviator trick (because that thing really sucked and you had to cheat to play as Ordos).

God memories. Not as much from dune 2 but dune 2000.
I wonder if we will see a new dune game now that they are working on a remake of the dune movie. I just finished watching the children of dune mini series (low budget and special effects in the origional movie where better. which says soemthing for a 25 year old movie)
