3dcenter.de has made a pretty hardcore test on 22 different Ati catalyst official drivers all from 3.2 to the newly released 5.1 ones. The article is in german but remember that the graphs is the most important info. Happy reading.

so basically what this shows, is that older versions are good for *games* while ati has optimized the design of the 5.1 driver for... 3dmark, a benchmark prog. shit that no one would EVER need. that's cool. I hate the graphics card industry now.

When are the days when benchmarks actually meant something, or when they built cards and drivers for the games... pfft.
