"And you know what, it'd be a whole different world, 'cause if they weren't pushing that shit into your head while it was still soft, you'd never buy it. Not for a minute.

You'd never heard of the bible, and none of your firends had ever heard about Christianity, and just found a bible in a used book store, oh you'd jump right on that idea, wouldn't you?

"Oh this sounds completely logical, yes! The cave, and the ark, oh yeah! Hey Donnie, I think i've found the meaning of life here!"

Totally agree with that.
People brainwash their children from day 0 to believe in their own bullshit.
The world would have been a whole lot different, and more wise in my opinion, if religion wasn't taught from day 0.

My bubble of religion burst, it was quite difficult for me to accept the truth that I saw - That there's no one who's actually keeping an eye on you, and saves you when you're in trouble. I felt cheated.
That all these years people had fed us with their own lies, that they tell themselves to keep themselves from the tough truth.

Some people never get out of this bubble, and they live their whole lives in the name of false principals that have barely any meaning.

The way I see it, you gotta be retarded to belive in any religion.
And all religious people I've talked to are way behind the non-belivers when it comes to logic.
And if it had been as you said _SiN_, then I'm pretty sure everyone would be a bit smarter, since they wouldnt have a big fat lie pushed in their head.

I hate you.

You got that right, the religious society is trying to push it on you since you were born, but in the end it's church and their believes and lies who forced the people to teach their children and to baptize them in the first place.

It's churches fault and their desperate way to keep significant place in peoples lives (for easy control). You wouldn't believe what things are happening here in Cro. Priests are telling people who to vote for, they are making fun out of president (but he retaliated fiercely, yay Very Happy). And people are stupid enough to believe them!

Drink as in alcohol? Well their believes prevent them form doing even if it isn't Ramadan...

But yes it's silly, for one: They didn't ear pork back when Muhammad was alive not because swine's are dirty, but because it would kill you to eat fat on +50°C Laughing So clinging to the old traditions seem stupid to me...

Religion is alright as long as you don't take to serious. A few stories which tells you to be kind and stuff wont hurt any one. Yes alot of places have tons and tons of stupid people who believe in every thing some random holy man says but that isn't religions fault. If you take away religion all the gullible people would just believe in some other random crap.

Do I really have to say this shit again? Science hasn't really explained shit yet, there's way, way too much more. Don't hold your breath. So what if the bible and other scriptures are not literally true, at least they inspire thoughts. So long as you're not an extremist, it is certainly not a bad way to live your life. You dicks who always have to jump up and shout your mouth off, over and over, and over again for no fucking reason. It seems pointless too me. Rolling Eyes

Fair play, but I didn't mean that. I'm not xtian, nor do I believe in any other religion at all but it's getting annoying now with all the hate crap.

EDIT: This reminds me of something that is written in the satanic bible

Satan has been the best friend the Church has ever had, as He has kept it in business all these years.

of course it hasn't. could be due to the fact that we've only really started to dig into that stuff a few hundred years ago. why? because there was a certain institution that killed off everyone who said that the earth wasn't the center of the universe, that's why! Laughing

and you don't even need to be an extremist to fuck things up. 30 years' war, crusades anyone? (of course those wars weren't motivated only by religion, but it did its share)

religion is something for weak minded people who
a) were brought up in a strict religious way and let that shit get through into their heads
b) are too fucking stupid to believe in themselves and need a "higher power" to believe in and pray to (i'm especially furious about that. a few years ago when i was in the hospital, recovering from a nasty car accident i only survived due to exceptional surgery skills and my will to live, they sent some pastor bitch to my room who wanted to talk with me about what happened and "how god helped me through all of this blah blah and we should pray to him for that". if it was physically possible for me at that time, i would have punched her straight in the face Twisted Evil )
c) fail at life only because god has failed them! Crying or Very sad (why look for faults in yourself if there's a higher power that commands fate alone by himself?)

Totally agree with Sin and the title of thread. Kids should not be exposed to religion.
Modern religion (whichever denomination) is fucking dangerous....ala 'The War on Terror' or rather 'The Crusades' as I like to call it.

Thats why I am currently opening up my 12 year old niece's mind. She's been going to her off shoot of Protestant church since she was a baby. And she has questions cause she goes on Sundays to these things where they read the....I'd say Bible but its not even the King James version (which is BS but still).

I denounced Catholicism and Christianity when I was 12 years old. At 12, we had to start studying for Confirmation (anyone who is or was Catholic knows what I am talking about). We had to read the Bible (the 'real', as in King James version). And then when I was 13 we had to read it again and by then I knew it was a ton of horse shit. Good story for sure, but pure myth.
Anyway, only reason I got Confirmed was because my school forced me to.....Sad
I am a 'Soldier of God' Rolling Eyes yet I didn't believe any of it (got a good amount of Confirmation cash tho Very Happy).
By 13 I was....another....I was about to say religion but that is not accurate. I agreed with another philosophy which I still practise and agree with.
Its completely myth of course, but it makes sense to me and thats all that matters.

Its when people start thinking that their religion....whether its Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hindu, Buddhism etc is the 'right' and 'only path to God' that wars and violence ensue.

If religion, whichever one(s), we practised privately and religion had no role in Politics or anything that affects a large group of people, this world would be 100% better.

We needed religion during the Dark Ages. Now we have Laws, Science etc.....religion has no place in public in any form imo.
