sigh and that 1080 link isnt working.. keep redirecting.. downloaded the usual redirect link but i cant make any sense of the filename enclosed, doesnt seem to go anywhere... anyone have a current WORKING 1080 downloadable link for this?

T1 , T2 , aliens, the abyss, true lies love them all. Cameron was the master for sure. Post Titantic Cameron is a different man, and this looks like a pixar cartoon from the teaser. Not exactly what I was expecting after the reports on the 20min previews, with statements like "You cant tell its CGI, it looks so real!"
Will reserve final judgment until I see it in full, in 3D.

yah yah those were dark gritty SF movies black brown and a lot of dust.
with AVATAR we are stepping into a new world of SF . a sweeping epic bright colorful beautiful one.
if cameron made his aliens the same color as rubble and dirt and made the backgrounds rubble and dirt since ITS SO MUCH EASIER TO BLEND BLACK/BROWN TOGETHER WITH BLACK/BROWN you would be saying he ripped off D-9.
december must come NOW.

The aliens were not CGI in Aliens, they used animatronics in conjunction with actors and costumes.

Seriously, I was impressed by the trailer but in 3D IMAX it is jaw-dropping.
It's absolutely beautiful and looks like its full of emotion.

It looked tacky to me, it reminded me of seeing all that CGI in star wars EP1
Cameron used to make some fantastic films, but he seems to have been swallowed up by his own arsehole since Titanic.
I hope its good, because he has made some fantastic sci-fi films in the past, but i was really unimpressed with the teaser.

Comparing District 9 trailer and this trailer I would choose District 9. And the reviews have already shown to be a great movie. Avatar cartoonish look is not what I expected. Maybe its story is better...

Well that's an unfair comparison. District 9 is out and has several full trailers plus a complete plot outline, while we ahve only seen some behind the scenes footage and a teaser trailer. Expect a full trailer to reveal a lot more plot.

One thing that can be derived from this trailer: it's stepping into CGI hell. I don't expect any intelligent dialogue or plot here, just a 2 hour eye-candy jerk-off.
But I do hope this will be at least good, since it's been 12 damn years since Cameron's last feature film.

I'm sure it'll be a good movie, if for nothing else then that it's Cameron.
However, the CGI looks very.. meh to me, it's way to obvious cgi for my liking anyways. And I mean obvious in the way that you can tell it's cgi (which I guess is a given since it's aliens and shit but wtf). Was the same with Star Wars but it sort of worked there so it might here as well I guess.
I think I'm just offput by the way the aliens look, they look like fucking muppets.

Man, the trailer doesn't do this justice at ALL. The cgi in the 15 min preview looks facking amazing, dare I say photo real? It only takes a while for your eyes to adjust to the 3d and the Na'vi.
