Yeah, I use it ever since...for a long time. It seems the preotection remained the same. I hope they don't do anything drastic with warbands.

The loader does not work directly with 1.11. However, it works with 1.03.
So:
download 1.03
use loader to activate
update to 1.11 (try copying the files over the 1.03 installation)
launch game with loader every time
If done correctly, it should stay activated.

Well, I used uniloader with mountandblade_1011_setup.exe and it worked, but I had to do some weird thing the first time I launched it (through the loader of course), don't really remember. I inserted a serial that was given in the txt and activated it or something weird like that.
EDIT: Maybe I used all zeroes for serial or something

kinde of funny to see so many ppl playing this game, its actully nice to see, its a good game with a very good modding community, to bad not many of those playing and enjoying the game pay for it.
most common reason for not buying a good game is often i refuse to support the company IE EA, UBI etc, any big publisher and/or developer, would be sweet to see the reason why you arnt supporting this indie dev but i would bet its something in the line with, " well i like the game, but its not fully working" or " ye i like it and i play it from time to time, but nothing i would waste cash on"
always a great fun to see ppl trying to aviod admitting that they are simply cheap bastards that whats evrything for free. well the time you start doing what you are paid for (if you are paid to do anything) for free thats the time i think you got a right to demand things for free.
and i for one would never do my work for free.
dont get me wrong with this post, i ofcourse pirate games, but thats just until i tried em out, since these days there arnt demos, i pay for ALL the games i enjoy. even if i finnished the game with the pirated version i buy it to offer my support, not cus i think some fat cow should make more, but becuse if i support em they might make another game i like instead of doing like ea with fifa, nfl, nhl, sim.
this is whats gone wrong with usernet/bittorrent and other PtP, before when it was IRC it was to much work to get access to the good stuff for ppl to actully bother, now evryone got access to 0days, and i dont really mind that, but i sure do mind that ppl now days EXPECT to get evrything for free, and if a group hasnt realesed the next big game 2 days before actully realese date you sure do get to read it on this forum, OH RELOADED, OH RAZOR, bla bla bla, why cant you crack an simple protection like this, anyone can do it, oh they are just crap lalalala.
SUPPORT THE DAMN DEVS, especiaialy when its a indie dev with a good game.
btw. this is a rant.

eh, those that can afford and want to buy a game they like, will. those that don't, won't. preaching won't change anything.
i agree with you about indie devs needing more support than big publishers, though. on the other hand, a good game not getting bought, even if the publisher is big, will mean they'll make one that the masses will enjoy next time, which means quality is gonna drop and mediocrity will be promoted.

i think you guys are using the wrong loader
the correct one doesn't ask any serials and works on every version
i'm all for supporting indie studios, but honestly, the only thing the game has properly going for it is the awesome combat mechanic
if it was a $5 game i'd pay it gladly, but until sieges and other things get proper i'll just sit back and wait till the content matches the price
i'm hoping warband will

Aephir stfu ffs man... boy?
Ill buy what I want when I want, people dont have to support anyone or anything if its they're choosing.. What your rant is about is some more holy than thou shit.
I buy plenty in life, dont mean im gonna buy everything that comes my way, especially pc games, I pay enough to get the fucking machine together to even play such things let alone fork out an arm and a leg for every game that exists..
Go complain at the publisher houses and the sudden $ to £ issue etc... Ill start buying more when those that set the prices start playing fucking fair... Oh that wont happen cause the world is one big fuck up of corruption/greed and shitty ass politicians
On yer bike son, im at nforce for a reason, and thats to get what I can for nada, and if that bothers you then you should just sit in the back being quiet maybe?
"SUPPORT THE DAMN DEVS" yeah lots of us have done multiple times and multiple times been shafted for quality.. your barking at the wrong people..
I for myself regarding mount and blade, just want to try it out without any hitches "right this moment in my life" I just bought a sub/some hardware upgrades (not for me) and some time cards for other games I play.. Now just cause its not mount and devs turn for my wallet this time around dont mean it wont later..
And again I cant stress enough, its not your choice lol.. rant all you want its fun.

Calradia at War : a few changes, like adding a little story-line, bringing back Zendar (for new palyers, that doesn't mean anything), adding new weapons (mostly swords, but there are a few gunpowder weapons as well), tonns of new companions, altered troop trees (you won't get Swadian knights from peasants now, you'll have to find and recruit young nobles), more battle feedback (if you do well, your troops' morale will rise and the enemy will flee just to be flattened by a nice cavalry charge), etc.
Expanded Gameplay III : makes the game really difficult. Tonns of "mob" spawns, most of them are extremely tough (like a band of near-invincible undead warriors with ridicilous weapons, or a band of 500 migrating barbarians), better enemy AI, a few new fight moves (they do the same as before, just look fresh), the player can die if knocked out (possible to bring him back to life), ridicilous amount of weekly payments to troops (a fully trained swadian knight can ask as much as 2500 alone, imagine if you had 10 of them, this is the reason why I stoped playing this mod), tonns of new weapons, armors, etc.
Hundred years war : just a replacement of the old map with the English-French war. Two factions only, a few new companions, weapons, new armours, etc.
Star Wars Calradia : kinda like it. Revamps the whole map, replacing the ground with space, the cities and villages with planets and moons, and the castles with stations, you can train imperial, rebel or hutt soldiers (including force users). Naturally the empasis is on ranged combat, but there are a few melee combatants (guess who), etc.
These are the ones I tried recently, but there are tonns more out there.

What the fuck. So, do you think you should get free gas for your car, because you paid for the car, or free cable and DVDs, because you paid for a television set, or free books and encyclopedias, because you bought a bookshelf? Fuck that, that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
If that's how you feel, there are plenty of good freeware games out there.

That's stupid. "multiple times been shafted for quality"...what? So, because some games don't live up to some expectation of yours, you, what, think that you don't need to pay for ANY games anymore?
I'm fucking sick of these pathetic excuses for piracy. Do it (I know that it's futile to reason with poor children to stop stealing things, especially when it's as easy as pirating a PC game, so I don't try to convince people to stop doing that) but seriously, you should at least know that it's wrong. Stop with the retarded, drooling-level intellect attempts to justify it. It's not possible.

Well said Cedge.
edit: except for "dirtfuck europeans" which is just ridiculous, i pay for the games i like. This particular game i dont care much for (or even play) so i havent payed for it. M&B would probably be great in a setting such as in the TES series, more open that is. The "levels" feel cramped and takes away the epic feeling it could have.

A good game is a good game to me.
9 times out of 10, i will buy it. I don't give a fuck who makes it. If its a big publisher, good for them.
Dug out my key for Mount And Blade. (And yes Cedge, I bought it).

| Quote: | Thank you very much for your interest in Mount&Blade Warband Beta program. We are happy to inform you that you are invited to join in the fun by participating in the beta testing and helping us improve Mount&Blade Warband during this phase.
What you need to do now:
After downloading and installing the game, you can join in the online battles at the multiplayer servers. (Single player campaign is currently disabled) To do so:
Select multiplayer, and then create a profile for yourself. Then, click on "join game", select "Internet" as source and click on "Start Search".
The game then should give you a list of available servers. Double-click on a server you like and join in the battle!
Please note that we will be releasing new versions very frequently at this stage. At every new version release we will notify you via email about the changes in the new version and give the download instructions for the upgrade patch. The multiplayer servers will also be upgraded in each release and it will not be possible to connect to the servers with the old version of the game.
To help us improve the game, please provide bug-reports and general feedback in the Warband beta testing board on our forums:
Thank you very much for your help and support. We are looking forward to seeing you on the test servers and on our forums.
Best wishes,
-Taleworlds Team |
Yay! Finaly!

That's interesting. Maybe it uses the launcher-activation key for multiplayer authentication?
