I took a plane from Brussels to Geneva and my brother was coming from a climbing trip in Spain going to the east of Switzerland and was supposed to pick me up. So i took the economy light class without any luggage because he had everything in the car already because i left my climbing gear when i left a week ago.
So i land at 9pm and nobody is at the airport. I phone, noone picks up the phone... So i am screwed... I ask in the airport and i book a airport hotel which i am transferred to by bus. I start to think he had an accident in the mountains, because i phoned him 5 times or so and he did not pick up.
Next day i phone again, still a dead cellphone... I phone my parents to ask if they know where he is, but they were in USA doing a road trip, so no one picks up the phone... I visit the tourist office, go to the youth hostel, get some food, and i stay for another night... So i am starting to think he is dead...
At 10pm, he calls me and tells me he got lost in the pyrenees in Spain and was pinned down for another day because of bad weather and he had no signal in the mountains, thats why he could not phone me. He was really exhausted, but he would leave the next day @6am and he he would be in Geneva at 2pm and i gave him some GPS coordinates for the GPS, so he could pick me up at a rendez-vous point.
Next day, day nr3, still no luggage, and i have to kill another day in Geneva... So i go to a shop buying some books and reading a bit, cruising through geneva, visiting the banks etc. 2PM, i am at the rendez-vous point, no one there. I dial, phone dead again... So i am starting to think, shit, i pushed him too much to pick me up and he left with the car too tired...Waiting, waiting, waiting, and finally he showed up at 7pm, totally exhausted. I jump in the car, and drive and he falls asleep after 10 secs or so.
If you continue behaving like a baby about little things, you die within 12h if you have a really shitty situation like the one i described. Btw how old are you?
Whining about something like this is allowed . btw, This happened in July and i already told some friends and they all said, "shitty situation" etc. But i wonder what someone else would have done in the same situation? Oh yeah, funny note, the father of another guy who was with my brother had already called the cops and they had already started a search and rescue...

Oh, yeah u're right it is a cabin and not a place, but i know only by that word Anyways, my friends from Oslo have a cottage on a little island and they allowed me + some others to use it It's actually marked in Google Earth
Although i really would like to go to the Lofoten Islands once more (i lived in Ramberg) The climate there is awesome in summer (i can only imagine what it's like in the winter ).
And i going there so i can fucking rest, cause i only had little vacation this year (4 days at the Rally Of Poland, where i met some Norwegian journalists BTW ). Can't wait!
