It was the perfect move to sell even more copies of sc2 and d3. With no hamachi even noobs will have to buy the game.

You can still LAN in starcraft 2 because all the networking is Peer-to-peer. You just have to use battle.net as a matchmaking service. Sure it sucks slightly that you have to have an internet connection at the LAN now but you're not going to be using any appreciable bandwith.
D3 will probably be the saaame. There's nothing to rage about unless you don't have the net.

Ah well I'm exaggerating, but seriously it's a waste of resources which can be put into worthwhile areas of the game.

You know Hamachi ? thats the reason why people are sad.. they need to buy it to play it co-op, PvP..

im sad because i play diablo 2 very often on lan partys and i buy it anyway. its fucking diablo 3. do they really think theyll make any notable loss of money if D3 got a lan mode?
thats stupid. its fuckin diablo3. diablo3! Diablo = $$$

ever use hamachi? hamachi is a huge program with piraters, so if they want to play online, they use the lan feature and hamachi.
But ya, d3 will makes its money for sure, the only obsticle that will get in there way though is copy protection |

You will still be able to play D3 at your lan-parties. The host put up a router, share his internet and everybody log into battlenet or what they call it. You set a global password which will only allow those in the LAN to join - or maybe even a couple others if you're short on players.

You guys still don't get it, right? There IS a LAN option in D3, you only have to validate your game with the Battle.Net server when starting a game. The actual hosting of the game is on your pc, so you CAN start a lan game, you only need to have a legal serial and a Battle.Net account to go with it.
What's not there is "offline multiplayer", everything's validated with Battle.net.
Anyhow, Blizzard is imho one of the few developers that should be supported, so buy this game. Quit whining about possible features you're missing out on if you're downloading warez, like you've even got a right to whine without buying it.
