My Elite RRODed on me a couple of weeks ago and I tried the penny trick. It worked for about 4 Days and the Red Lights came back.
Went on-line and ordered a RROD Pro Fix Kit and installed it. It has been 9 Days since the install of that kit and my Elite is still going strong. Was worth every penny. I did go out and purchase a cheap Arcade Model so I do have a backup 360. Problem with that is all of my DLC doesn't work. M$ has a policy that says you can't transfer Licenses from one 360 to another but once a year to play off-line.
The way its been going I'm lucky if 360's last a year.
I've got a friend coming into town the next couple weeks. He told me to order him a kit and were going to try it out on his 360.

Did you use Xecuter RROD 360 PRO Repair Kit *NEW VERSION* by any chance? This is crazy, my 360 is working fine and I'm already looking into RROD repairing stuff. Good job MS!

lol at least u can repair your 360 with just 15-20 euro, that is if u don't have any tools available
if your ps3 is dead your only choise will be paying $ony 150 euro, so yeah i'd rather pay some ppl than greedy fuks for their own mistakes

I believe so....
I was looking at the kit and I knew Team Xecuter Re-Versioned it.

Oh come one... yes Xecuter Kit is based on free tricks, but so what? It's not like they charge 100 euros. The kit includes bolts that were precisely measured (which is very important), silicon paste and all the other tools and stuff you'll need. Try and get that separately, you will probably waste a lot more time and money.

My year old just gave me the rrod, never missed a beat and then turned to play call of juarez then froze 1 min into game and just gives rrod whenever i try and turn it on!! arrgghh
Anyhow i've requested a fix from MS, my ms seal is good but do they check for flashed drives?
at the worst i guess i'll get iy back unrepaired..
