You'd be a fucking idiot to suggest that Hitler/Stalin wouldn't have conquered all of the Eastern hemisphere if it wasn't for US intervention during WW2. The situation would have panned out in either two ways.
A.) Hitler takes the UK, takes the rest of Africa, Takes Russia. Game over.
B.) Stalin pushes hitler back, takes back everything that Hitler just demolished.
If it weren't for the supplies that the US provided to countries like Britain before we actually 'entered' the war the UK would have fallen way faster then it did. We provided planes, pilots, bombs, etc.. They would have still fallen if we didn't enter the war, however. Our sale of supplies before our entrance allowed the 'Allied' nations to drag things out a little bit longer. Of course, it was a good plan on our part, because it allowed us to make massive profit by selling a huge amount of war machines to you guys so you could fight back Hitler. Then when it was obvious Hitler was going to take the UK anyways we came in to 'save the day'. WW2 brought us out of the great deppression because of all the money you paid us to keep Hitler from raping you.
And iNatan, you'd be a fools fool to beleive you would exsist at all today if the US didn't intervene. As stated, Hitler would have obviously taken all of the Eastern hemisphere. The UK was the only real allied nation left to put up a defense against him. (And only because of the huge amount of supplies the US was providing before we entered the war) People over in Europe really don't seem to realize how much we did to save them from Hitler. Over 80% of Hitlers armies died on the Russian front. Most of his best troops were used trying to invade Russia as well as a huge amount of armaments, vehicles and resources denying Hitler access to crucial oil supplies in the Caucuses and forced the Germans to use poor quality synthetic oil. It was Russian soldiers who smashed through German lines and eventually took Berlin.

The RAF's defeat of the Luftwaffe ensured that the nazis lost air superiority throughout the war and the presence of the Royal navy prevented the German Kriegsmarine from attempting to invade from the sea. Without Britain there could have been no Normandy invasion because of a need for troops from Britain and the Empire (who made up the majority of the soldiers) as well as a place to set off from. Essential work in breaking codes as well as the defeat of the Germans in North Africa also halted the German advance. So ultimately, the US did its usual and ran in to stomp on everyone's already dying heads to take all the credit.

Without Britain to provide a staging ground for Normany, the US would've just invaded from Italy to the Balkans, then linked up with the Soviets. No one cared about Britain, you were a dying Empire with next to no manpower who had to beg for crumbs from the Americans not to fall to the Germans. Even Hitler couldn't give a damn, turning his back on you to invade Russia instead. US tanks were always shit, even after the modifications. The Germans called them matchboxes with a good reason. As for Africa, you defeated an undermanned understrength army only after getting beat by it several times over, and only after having the US open a second front in Algeria.
The point I'm trying to make isn't that Britain sucked, but that without US intervention you would be shit out of luck. If my post is too blunt, sorry, not trying to offend, just the way it came out.

You do realize, that if Nazi Germany won the war, the US would have been fucked too.
By the way, the reason the germans couldn't take the UK easily, was beacuse of it's geographic location. They didn't have the resources to launch a large enough ground and sea invasion, that's why they resorted to bombing them into submission.
Nazi Germany would have won if it wasn't for Hitlers stupidity, breaking the peace with the Soviet Union.
The M4 (and all it's variants) wasn't a bad tank either. Up until Nazi Germany deployed their Panther tanks, the Sherman was basically on par with the german tanks. With the Panther and heavier tanks, it was quite useless, until the british changed the 75mm cannon to their 17-pounder.
