Game will use some weapons from BF 1943, whatever that's supposed to affect.
(More guns are always better I guess but those would be a bit dated wouldn't they?)

It's slightly badly written but.
Quote: |
DICE revealed BF1943's semi-auto rifle, sniper rifle, and SMG.
|
So the rifle, sniper and SMG from 1943 will be used in Bad Company 2.
(Multiplayer probably.)

Whoops I made a mistake, check the picture slide at the bottom, I might be wrong again but it seems Bad Company 2 uses Frostbite 1.x something (DX10 / DX 10.1 for PC) with Frostbite 2 (No current titles.) being able to utilize DX11.

Aye, I thought that too. Still, even the Frostbite 1.x engine looks great! I was stunned by how good BC looked - and ran too! - on humble hardware like the 360.
Still, glad DX11 looks like it's getting more of a following than DX10 did. My fiance gets her inheritance in a few months, and she's buying me a new comp as a gift - so by then ATi's DX11 hardware will be out and I'll probably snag one of those.

damn, i came a little ...
hope its really gonna play out like this ...
considering all that stuff (most of it anyway) was meant to be in BF2 back then (fully destructible environment for instance ...).
We will see.
I like the part, where he tells, that they have the utmost respect for call of duty: mw2 ...

Look at all the smoke and dust interacting with moving objects, and at good framerate... But wait, no GPU accelerated PhysX!? This must be CGI then, because obviously dust, smoke and fog all must use GPU acceleration to run faster than 2 fps!
