fuck me, checked out the weather rain and snow mod v2 and christ all that to get it to work lol to create a plugin..?

Ugh not fucking with it dont want to balls it up, dont even have a GECK.ini anyhow, strange instruction set... Why not have pre compiled light/med/heavy plugins all done already and then you can choose either.

bah, ive tried this three times and i still get glitches/hangs and i can never find the so called cryo grenades or whatever they are called. *shrugs*

i guess i should kill ALL mods just to get this one dlc package to work. maybe then it will work right.

is there a way to clean a save, a fried cant even load a game then zeta active. Loading the save on my computer don't help. SO must be something im the save. IF i turn zeta of i can load the game.

There's no utilities for savegame cleaning albeit loading the game without a mod and saving should clean most references out (Might not touch altered stuff from the original game and especially if such stuff has been made persistent.)

Zeta should work work without requiring any special patch or similar but mods can ofcourse intefere with it.

There's a fix on Fallout3Nexus for example which removes the script that makes your inventory disappear briefly (You collect it again quite fast though.) as certain modded items don't really like to be removed and might cause a crash during the introduction sequence of the DLC. Smile

So how is patch 1.7?
Did it bring any useful fix at all?
Since I'm still running the fake patch for 1.05 Very Happy
Gonna try to get Mothership Zeta up and running with all my mods intact (which are basically only FOOK and MMM)



offtopic, kinda:
So, to be able to install F3 you need Daemon Tools Pro Advance (that's at least what I heard and what I used the first time around).
So is there any _working_ release of it out there? All I find are those with a Trial Resetter and for some reason those ain't working for me (because sooner or later Daemon Tools demands to be connected to the internet) O.o

You can use DT Lite, the cracked launcher EXE from the 1.6 crack update is the same version as the one in 1.7 so it can be used again.

For the game protection run the setup.exe file directly instead of the autorun as it'll try to use the launcher instead of just starting the install.

not sure, but all i know is I downloaded a 1.6version with all dlc upto zeta, it uses FOMM with high res texture sets as well all in with the archiveinvalidate file thing and it all works flawless.. I used the tweaker in FOMM to remove the fake xlive.dll file as I wanted achievements tow ork with my legit g4wL key.

I updated to 1.7 online via the live login inside fallout, and then dropped the zeta dlc in and bobs your uncle all working..

I can only presume that the launcher from 1.6 to 1.7 is untouched and still works fine with legit main game exe. Well otherwise how the hell am I running it Very Happy

So what's the deal? Do you need a crack or not? I installed this, updated to 1.7 and ran the game. It works, so did I do it wrong? I did notice some wierd things though...I went to go get the money Silver owes Moriarty, and a raider spawned inside her fridge while I was fighting Silver...it was odd.

This error was fixed my using the fallout mod manager. It detected a conflict between the dlc's. Something about Operation: Anchorage files needed to load before zeta.

Did you quickload at any point? In my latest playthrough I've noticed out-of-place enemies that weren't there before occasionally showing up when I load.

Uhm, are you guys sure that you still need the crack? I reinstalled from scratch the reloaded (without using cracked launcher) 2 days ago, updated to 1.7 official, added the DLCs from a torrent and I'm playing with no problems. Maybe they removed security check?

I have 2 problems with Zeta, the first is I missed one of those Alien Recordings and once you finish Zeta or at least get to a certain point right before the end, most the the doors become inaccessible so you cannot go back and find it. Since the tapes were not in order I was kind of hoping to find it in the last room but that was not the case.

The second is that I get stuck with the transporter glow when I return to the Wastleland but it disappears when I return to the ship. The only thing I can figure is because there is no pad when I land in the Wastleland like there is on the ship. So I guess I am stuck since I do not want to run around the Wastleland with a gold shimmer effect for the rest of my characters existence.

I'm so glad I got this on steam 50% off so I don't have to deal with this crack bs.. I don't know how I missed the note that zeta was out.. in my current game big town is all fucked up. Everybody is gone, no bodies Sad
if I respawn them, they just die instantly

there are 25 recordings

I found Zeta a bit disappointing. Same old kill this and that sort of thing. Not too much of a variety in aliens and weapons. Sure the ending was kind of fun, but it felt like there could of been more.

I'm level 5 right now (started anew, once again) and every once in a while I stumble across an Enclave Soldier?
And I had, a couple of times, Super Mutants spawning right behind me. I'm in a shootout with a couple of raiders on the other side of the river and all of a sudden I get hit in the ass and BAM Super Mutant Brute with a Minigun.
Fuck this shit. I mean, I'm playing it pretty much unmodded so they are somewhat manageable but well, I don't like to get startled like that Laughing

What difficulty do you have it on?

Playing on hard with Broken Steel installed tends to result in some pretty difficult encounters. I remember getting attacked by a Feral Ghoul Reaver at level 6, needless to say I got my ass handed to me. Very Happy

Reklis.. the last known 100% proper (as in working) cracked version of DT Pro is vers. 4.10.218.0 . It was released towards the end of last year and involves a REAL crack by a bonafide release group (Whose name I can't recall at the moment) as in code rewrite.. no date rollback utilities or multiple hoops to jump through like the last three releases (including that "Darkcoder" wanabee release.. that one disables itself after not being allowed to phone home after a month or two).

While that release DID have vIDE support.. unfortunately it won't work on some of the newer games (haven't tried a F3 clone on it). It's still floating around on TPB and rapidshare sites.
