Saw some pretty fun pvp movies, gave a bit of the feeling of those old WoW pvp movies. Played WoW since the start but always looking for smth new because its getting so boring for me.
Think I m gonna make a sorc.

To the ppl that actually played some.
Do you think the Endgame is for hardcore ppl only?
I stopped playing wow since i did not really have time to raid 2-4times a week. And all the BG grind for arena.
Looking for a MMO that is ok for casuals also. So im pending between Aion and Global Agenda.
Anyone that can help me out? im afraid this game is 100% hardcore endgame from what i have rerad about it.

WoW endgame was only hardcore if you joined a hardcore guild that raided almost every night. For a time I played with a guild that raided only once a week, but we'd clear all 10 man content on that day - not hardcore in the slightest, but we still progressed. Hardcore is a choice, and with what I've read about Aion, it'll be a choice there too.

I started playing on CAION, first 5 hours are free its full english and afterwards u can just pay with paypal or w/e suits you for hours. 80 hours of gametime is like 5 euro, I think u can get to see alot of the game if u even pay for 20 hours.

the chinese servers u will hate lol, they are loaded with traders and bots etc etc, spoilt it for me, still have 100hrs on there left.

I dont think the EU playerbase would stand for it, in china/korea its like they welcome it with open arms lol.. more bots than players..

Well I found an online community with quite a lot of English speaking players who are playing the Chinese version so I'm gonna go play with them and see if I'll like it.

It's nice to test the game tbh, that CAION. Just don't buy like 400h, u can instantly upgrade time anyway. So if u pay like 5 euro for 80 hours u can just upgrade it to more if u like. I still got like 75 h left.
The first thing I noticed when I entered was the chat. FULL of goldselling. Theres alot of English talking players on Azariel in 2nd region(north). Im dutch and found like 10 dutch guys when I was just lvling 1-10.
If the game will make it and won't become a second WAR/AOC I don't know for sure.
I definatly like the flying/gliding. But it's soooo boring to lvl, massive grindfest. Collect this Kill this Talk to that. It's the same as most MMO's you go into a state of trance almost while doing same rotations over and over on mobs. Seems like a grindfest till endgame like most mmo's.
It does have nice things tho. Be sure to check it out to see if its your style. I think ill play it anyway.

If you follow this guide u should be able to play on CAION. Also, when finding mirrors for those files required check if they are the correct up to date ones. Because if it's not then you download for nothing. The torrent in that guide worked great for me.
Btw, the game is in total ENGLISH if you use that .pak, the launcher however is not.

Yea can't block the guys either or smth, I tried to but didn't work for channels. I didn't have much lag tho.

Just 14hours or so until the beta starts, i aint gonna play much this weekend i think doh. Gonna save the pain levling for live, might aswell use the time to make a char i like so i have it ready for live!

Google for alternative download locations, I've found somewhere on forum topic with it. I took torrent and I had full speed. After that I've launched Aion Client downloader from official site I go for a drink, went back, closed download and replaced with files from torrent. 1minute of additional downloading (latest update) and got it working like a charm.

maxed out my connection for 5 hours and it was done. |

Ehh.. this is just another WoW with better graphics... How i hate games with 2 sides of conflict. Dark side and light side... this is carebear mode game. Look on situation like this: You take a quest, for example - to kill some mobs, you on spot, you find mob and run to slash it (you are melee). But there is always an a$$hole which interrupts you in quest, becouse he is ranged and he kills mob faster. He is same race (side) and you can't kill him just like this. He won't take duel, he is just running around and pi$$ing me off. What I can do ? Nothing. In L2 I would PK him, he would eat the dirt and I would have clean spot to make quest in peace. Of course Karma in L2 is a problem, but still... at least you would see bastard smelling flower....
Games becomes carebears playground....
