I pity the person who has to transcribe this rambling which seems like one big sentence at times.

Yes there's a part two. Sad

So if you have 20 minutes which you will never get back then you can try to make sense of it.

Or you could take the short cut and watch William Shatner explain it all to you.

Only in the U.S can a woman like that be a vice-presidential candidate.

I also think fisk should be unbanned.

Is she popular in th U.S or is she massively hated?

@fisk: She is a part of the reason McCain wasn't elected. He probably picked her thinking "She's a pretty lady who loves her guns. That ought to get the sexually frustrated old redneck vote. But she's also an average wife with kids, mini vans, soccer practice, etc. I'll get some of the housewife vote too." little did he realize that she's a huge twat. It has nothing to do with something that "could only happen in the US" her candidacy was born from a need for a boost in polls. If she was elected, on the other hand, I'd be right with you.

@Gordie: Her approval ratings have been steadily dropping since the election and more recently her resignation.

on topic: lol at Shatner.

So, you think that McCain really would've stood a chance with another VP-candidate? I seriously doubt it with the power of 'hope' waved around by the other puppet.

But even if you were right, and his presidency truly depended on his choice of vice-president, that in and of itself shows how flawed his campaign was. I mean, background checks? It's not that it was hard to spot the flaws in her resume.

Nah still dont think he had a chance. Thats why I said "part of the reason." I do think that if he picked a more solid candidate (tough to find one in the republican party) it would have been a closer race.
