Just got back from a vacation to Greece, and got a nasty sinus infection. Made the plane ride unbearable. Anyone ever have one of these during a plane flight? Tips on combating it? I'm gonna be flying all over the states in August, so any advice would be appreciated.

Sinus infections do not last that long so you'll be fine. But if you want to combat any kind of pain I can heartily recommend opiates. Wink
Also rincing your sinuses with a saline solution can help with any kind of infection (colds etc.).

I've never had an infection during a flight but i suffer from hereditary thin sinuses, i have been on a couple of flights where i can feel the pressure build up in my sinuses so much it feels like my eyeball is about to explode, possibly one of the most painful things i have ever encountered...

I had a bad cold when I flew to Amsterdam a couple of years ago. Was in agony when we took off/landed... and it wasn't just the sinuses, the eardrums crashed that party as well.

Was pretty relaxed when I flew back though. Smile
