Of course online sales would add a little, but do you honestly think that it would be a lot? How much more? 25% 50%? Let's be really insane and say it would double, and if you think as many games are sold via steam as they are via retail stores you are smoking meth. So istead of 0.9b you'd have 1.8b. That's out of 10.4b. Less than 20%. But that's not even close to accurate. Conservative estimate would be about 20-25% putting it around 1.1-1.2b or about 10% of all game sales.
No reason to be delusional. PC game sales suck compared to the consoles. Why do you think we get shafted on the big name titles? Either they come out months later, as a shitty port of the PS2 version or not at all.

PC sales are less than console sales for a variety of reasons but as mentioned above those charts probably takes all console sales and compare them to PC sales.
(During that timeline that's stuff like Gamecube, XBox, PS2, X360, PS3, Wii and perhaps some others.)

I think xbox360 games for ex. should sell more because they come in a better package, meaning crap free, no roots, securom and shit like that, I would rather buy a product that won't try to fuck me from behind. You want more sales improve your product, their problem is pirates offer a better product that's cheaper as well. Also improve optimizations, another reason a console game might sell more they KNOW their game will work if they purchase it and there is a question mark if you buy a pc game but that's another topic.

It appears that the chart obviously factors in fact that people bought Call of Duty: WAW on Wii, PS3, and 360. OMG WAW has 3x the sales of PC!!! lol

Huh? It's the other way around. The only thing they dumbed down was the base building, the gameplay is a lot better and more complex.

It's not dumbed down (I thought it was too, at first), it's a completely different game. It worked very well for SP, but I didn't like the MP of DOW2.

Alan Wake PC Version 'Up To Microsoft'

A PC version of Alan Wake has been under discussion for a while now. Developer Remedy has said that they are focusing all their efforts on the Xbox 360 version, leading to speculation the PC version is in trouble.
Alan Wake fansite Brightfalls contacted Remedy about that possibility, and were told that PC plans are "currently open," and "therefore it's safe to say that at least a simultaneous launch with the Xbox version will not happen at this late stage.
"Remedy has a deep heritage in PC gaming and would love to see a PC version available to its PC followers, ultimately however this decision lies with our publisher."
Alan Wake was originally announced all the way back at E3 2005. It mostly put in an appearance at Microsoft's E3 Press Conference, and has a nebulous Spring 2010 release date.
With Alan Wake having been delayed as long as it has been though, just getting the Xbox 360 version would be nice at this point.

LULZ so like with Halo 2 we will see it when Win7 will hit the shelfs as a dx11 exclusive
then after 2 weeks some russian cracker will find dx9c in it
and make a loader like it was with Halo 2 for winxp

Whatever.. at this point I consider this game to be ruined just like Spore, the ambition, original concept and the original teaser/trailer are a thing of the past, this is a different game right now, will probably end up something like Condemned maybe worse because they wasted a lot of time to do the game one way than M$ convinced them to do it another more commercial way, should have stayed open ended and pc-ish.

wait WHAT? a pc version has been under discussion? as far as i knew, originally it was a pc CERTAINTY, with console versions to come eventually... why is microsoft so dead fucking keen on killing off the pc as a gaming platform? i would have thought if anything, they would want to help pcs thrive... christ what cunts.
im sure the story elements will be good, but yeah id totally agree that the gameplay elements are going to be fucking ruined 100%.

a) they Vista as a PC gaming platform was a crap idea
b) none is using Vista = no profit
c) Dx10 Exclusive Vista game made for a failed system = no $$$
d) they will make shit more $$$ on xbox360
e) they closed Ensemble Studios just to finish and make this game runnable on xbox360
f) don't hold your breath Win7 will not be the next Gaming Os
