I think everyone is too friendly, arent they? Help me with this and that.. and they don't seem to bother with taking islands on thier own? The game could be even better if there was some competition.. A mix of this and GalCiv2 would rock..

but i've just played a bit of the campaign and 1 easy scenario.

In the campaign the ai does not take islands, but wait until you have to play against the cardinal then come back and talk about too friendly Wink

When playing continous game I got this crate on the ocean with description "You may be able to find a taker for this rubbish somewhere"
Where I can find the taker?
I got quite a few of this crate and I want to dispose it if it has no purpose...

I just sell them to the Indian guy or the Lord whatever-his-name-is, for honour (usually 25-50). Not sure if they serve a higher purpose.

Cmon man you really need to start reading your quest logs... Scratch that, just highlight the quest icon at the left side of your screen and pulsing indicators will show up on the minimap telling you where those two will be found.
Also, prepare warships.

This might be a stupid question, but how do you evolve Peasants to Citizens?

I'm in Campaign Chapter 4, my Peasants have all their 4 needs 100% fullfilled, but they aren't upgrading to citizens Sad
I have clothing, and cider...

Build more houses and make sure u have the needed wood and tools in stock - houses need them for upgrading.

i've noticed that some houeses don't upgrade, even if you meet all the requirements at 100%, maybe this is because you can't have al your houses at citizen or patricians, and you actually need the peasants for work, slavery or wathever...

Thats why I said he should build more houses Smile. Houses can't level up if there aren't enough lower level houses.

Although I'm still not sure about the ratios concerning that.

Just completed chapter 6 and 7 of the campaign.
And.. SCREW YOU GAME. Seriously? Chapter 6 fucked me over so big time. I couldn't finish half of the sidequests in that mission. Just fuck.
And now I'm kinda stuck on chapter 8 because well. The building layout is a freaking mess.
I just wanna destroy everything and start anew but noooo for that you don't get enough money and materials. I hate it when I have to work with cluttered bullshit like that.
Can't find half the production buildings...

Heh, that's a constant irritation of mine too. I'm a total neat freak with strategy games, everything has to be just right(Total opposite IRL, it's weird..!), but it's a huge ballache trying to keep things remotely tidy in this.. the amount of times I've started over as I just can't bear the fucking crapheap things end up Very Happy

So, I was looking online for a walkthrough or (preferrably) a list of the sidequests of each chapter but couldn't find anything.
Has anybody else had luck with finding something like that?
Preferrably the name and what to do for the sidequests Wink

Non existent to my knowledge. I downloaded the strategy guide just for this purpose - it doesn't have such a list either! Sad

Lolz, but it can somehow be converted to fit the 1404 scenario. The main idea is to anticipate the required buildings and save space in the middle of housing for them.

Hm. That is a sweet setup.
I always tended to use a 3x3 housing setup with a chapel in the middle. But since the chapel got too big this time around, this ain't working anymore Very Happy
