Getting an error too now after replacing the files with JBs:
Application load error 6:0000065438

Tried it with revLoader, and it works.

Use revloader 2.2 and rev.ini must have :
ProcName=trine.exe
SteamClientDll=steamclient.dll
Also, create steam_appid.txt which should contain :
35700

Ah crap I forgot to say that since these are unaltered from the Steam version it'll either need to be cracked or bypassed via a RevLoader in order to function, I'm not really technically adept enough to strip out the protection data of the EXE though if I had I wouldn't have been able to post the resulting file like that as it would count as posting a crack.

I have a few questions. Hope someone can help me:
1. What are the .ncf files for?
2. Always when I overwrite the .exe I cannot start the game, so I have to use the old one.
3. Is the game now multi 5 German included?

The ncfs are to used by Steam to verify the integrity of the game files. And if you replace the exe with an old one then you will be undoing the actual updates from the patch...

revLoader requires dll's from the latest version of rev emu.

But what to do if the game won't start? The updated exe. file from from JBeckman is not cracked I think. That's the reason why the game won't start I think.
/EDiT: With JBeckmans files I get an application load error and the game doesn't start anymore. Any help? |

Yes, i put the last stable version of the dlls in there
@eierfeile: Run the game using the loader, don't run the game's exe directly or you will get that error. There is no crack for this version yet

Thank you for your help guys. Now it works but I still get 2 strange issues: I always have to select the gamepad after starting the game and the game only saves at the beginning of a new level. I think that was not before the update. And still no German text  .

need to change game resolution to 1920 1080 but i cant, i opened the option.txt from CPY but resolution doesnt change at all.

Wow, what a nice game! Played it for the first time today and finished it some minutes ago.
I didn't really want to play this game, judging from the screenshots. But am i glad i did!
It's a pretty cool little game with clever use of the physics engine.
And thanks JB for the patch upload. Without it ran really slow.

I have to ask again. Is it normal that I always have to set the gamepad when I start the game? Is it possible to fix the setting? I'am using the XBOX360 gamepad. And is it normal that the game only saves on the beginning of the levels?

In the Depth of the internet I finally found a working MULTI5 version. But with this version I cannot play with gamepad. I tried everything. With the english version (CPY release with or without patch) it was no problem. My gamepad was always detected.
Hope some1 can help.

another little fix for the 1.2 update is been released on steam. i have grabbed the retail multi5 and i am just waiting for a manual patch to apply as well
