No no, he said the same thing about T1 (how movies ceased to be art, bla bla bla) until I put him in his place with that quote, then made some silly joke about it when I quoted him.

Yes, I was completely sold in 2007 for the visual awesomeness of Transformers, but I later realized that the movie was a piece of crap, but damn, Transformers 2 must be the worst movie ever, now, as for Watchmen, I can comprehend that the movie didn't spoke to you personally, but to say the movie isn't good, that's a whole other thing.
But then again, you will probably keep on quoting my Transformers rating for a very long time, well, we all have monsters in our closets, it's all a matter of time until I find yours

My 2/10 is from the disappointment of comparing the graphic novel to the film, perhaps that's the problem. There was the motion graphic novel, which was miles better than this. And no, I don't particularly like the style of the movie, I don't think it is executed well (on the other hand, it fitted 300 much more for instance).
As for saying I'd rate T2 a 10/10 shows how little you know me and makes you an idiot for trying to insult me (something more than 0/10 for T2 is an insult, and that's without watching, nor do I plan to).
Good luck finding skeletons in my movies closet. I have always been frank with what movies and actors I like or dislike. I have never tried putting a highbrow face like you try, while secretly enjoying "visual awesomeness" in the dark.

Fracture - 7/10
Not a bad thriller, but not one of Hopkins' best performances by a long way. Throughout the movie I was 'waiting' for something to happen.. that feeling you get when a movie just doesn't satisfy fully.
It felt like it was going to build up to a balls tightening ending; but the ending was so-so.
Definitely recommended though, its a good flick, just could have been far better IMO.

enjoying "visual awesomeness" is fine, if the movie is cool, but if the movie is abominable shit, as (i assume) the transformers movies are, then it becomes worthless. |
Of course it's cool, but not when doing it in the dark, while trying to make face on the internets. That was my point, didn't mean anything against that.

If you really think that, it only shows how you are wrong about me, when I rate a movie, I give them the sincere opinion that I had about the movie, that's what happened when I firstly saw Transformers, a opinion that changed over time, you make it seem as if I rate movies to pose as a hard to appreciate movie critic, but let me tell you that you couldn't be farther from the truth, have you never come to change your personal opinion of a movie, hasn't your personal taste evolved over time?
That's what happened to me, anyway, I couldn't care less if you think that about me, I can only guarantee you that your perspective is wrong.

OF course it has changed, but not to the point of me giving a movie 9 or 10 out of then, and a year later 2/10 and calling it shit. For instance, I was blown away by 300, and gave it 9/10. Now I'd give it only 8/10 because it isn't that good. But from drooling over a movie to calling it total shit? Something's fishy...
Oh and about my opinion, seeing as you like to draw idiotic conclusions about people you know nothing about, I did the same.

As I mentioned before, this complete reversal of rating has only happened once to myself, concerning the first Transformers movie, on average my opinion for a movie remains unchanged, I'm sorry for my reply making assumptions about you, I was obviously mistaken.

We all have different taste leo and there is no wrong and right (Except when it comes to timechange's taste, it's always wrong)
As for the whole "IQ relates directly to if you like Transformers or Watchmen"-discussion I think that's pretty shallow. I found Watchmen to be brilliant beyond words but I still enjoy Transformers (haven't seen the new one) and guess I'd say it's a 7/10 for me, which is quite good
Anyways gonna watch the hd-rel of Coraline now, hope it lives up to the hype

Watchmen 10/10
I´ve just watched it and must confess I´m absolutely surprised. Didn´t know the comics and thought it would be like "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" FAIL! What an awesome epic satire about our society. Very well balanced and the characters are deeply drawn. More of this plz!

Watchmen question - I haven't watched the DC yet, is the more nudity of that hot chick?
Gunna let my nephew watch the DC either way. I told him he has to cover his eyes when the nudity is on the screen (he's 5) cause his mom was there. Fuck that tho, kid's 5 and when I take him out to the comic shop in the mall, he's checkin out the girl's and their tits. Kid loves tits. He blushes bright red when my girl picks him up and hugs him, its funny.
And I don't see anything wrong with nudity. Its not hardcore porn....or even softcore.

Coraline - 7/10 - Great voiceacting and terrific stopmotion. Story is perhaps a bit so so, still very nice flick.
3:10 To Yuma - 8/10 - Awesome western, just awesome. Russel and Bale are great and Ben Foster's performance is brilliant. Story is a little predictable but it works well.

It's nice to have context, sometimes porn just feels too functional. |
Also, Malin Akerman doesn't look like a total porn "oooh give it to me, yeah babe, right there, yeah baby, while I watch the camera" ho. There are very few porn actresses that don't look like total sluts.

The Ninth Configuration (1980) - 8/10 , very interesting movie , well played and written
some fucked up shit with the bikers at the end , but even when it's lacking it's good.
Col. Vincent Kane: In order for life to have appeared spontaneously on earth, there first had to be hundreds of millions of protein molecules of the ninth configuration. But given the size of the planet Earth, do you know how long it would have taken for just one of these protein molecules to appear entirely by chance? Roughly ten to the two hundred and forty-third power billions of years. And I find that far, far more fantastic than simply believing in God.
William Peter Blatty wrote the script , the books it's based (he also did both for The Exorcist) on and even directed the thing .
PS
anyone seen Until the End of the World (1991) by Wim Wenders , the director's cut is 280 minutes long and i don't want to waste that time on some halfass'ed movie , and i'm not a fan of Wenders either ..
